Royce might get a gig at Penrith, they could do with some help in the defense department.Brickwall Royce might be the man they are looking for. The only problem I have seen better brick walls in Lebanon after a bomb has hit them

I`m not saying that Royce is good, bad or otherwise, but they are 1st grade proffesional footballers, why do they need a defensive coach to teach them how to defend or how to number up ???
It`s quite simple, be aggressive, be up in your opponents face as often as possible and number up !!!

We have copped 30 points a game the entire time Sizzler Simmons has been `defensive coach'. Surely, as the only common denominator throughout the period, he is significantly responsible for this ?

D.Galea has played first grade this year champ. Then he got injured. And yes, I've seen him play both first grade and premier league this year and I think he'd do a better job than some other players in our backline.

He is a very good defensive player, so yes, I think he could potentially bolster our defence out wide.

so what whatuira is a very good defensive player and he been relatively crap infact our defence outwide has been crap all the time.

Fact is is D.galea has played only what 3 or 4 first grade games this year and has been out with injury for majority for season (probably still injured).
How could he bolster anything? he's not even match fit.

Grasping at straws.

might be quite simple to you mate - if you have the answer maybe you should sign up for defensive coach.

I love your detailed explaination "be aggresive, be up in your opponents face as often as possible and number".
When do you release your book of defensive coaching - best seller for sure.

I recall having a beer with Billy Johnstone about 6 years back after a game at Drummoyne Rowers, told me exactly the same thing, defensive patterns are a load of bullsh*t, it`s all about AGGRESSION, committment, attitude and having the brains to number up !!!

Royce hatches each week's defensive game plan at the Colyton RSL.
But only the Penrith dwelling wests tigers players are filled in when they read it in Saturday's Western Weekender

Well Sheens and Ronald paid well in excess of 120k for him, so he might as well be used.

Proton Wests Tigers coach Shines has denied the side named is akin to shuffling the deckchairs on the Titanic. "We have shifted Collis from 3 to 4 and Fitzy from 2 to 5. Heighington moves from 12 to 11 and Payten goes from 8 to 10. We've also got John Morris back in the 7 as this was also part of my long term vision"

"With regards the interchange bench we have also made a few switches that shows some form players promoted up the order".
