Bye week this week, so a good chance for us to freshen up ahead of playing the Panthers.

If Capewell is called up for Origin as the mail suggests, turnaround from Perth to Auckland for a Saturday game will be harder (which might be better for us than for them- they'll have 5 backing up, or not).

No word on Berry's hamstring issue yet.

You'd imagine Egan will be back, though Healey's performance will give us confidence.

1- Nicoll-Klokstad
2- Watene-Zelezniak (I honestly thought about both Kosi and Harper here)
3- Pompey
4- Leiataua
5- Tuivasa-Sheck
6- Harris-Tavita
7- Metcalf
8- Fisher-Harris
9- Egan/Healey
10- Niukore
11- Halasima
12- Laban
13- Clark

Res- Ford, Vaimauga, Capewell/Stowers-Smith, Martin

Simply dire wing options. So Dallin is playing by default. He better improve.

Actually, I've had a re-think whilst writing that sentence. Kosi and Harper might be able to do a job (from the sidelines I don't want to be too harsh) but I wish we had better options.

Yea man for sure, especially if he starts as some outlets are already predicting.

With travel wiping a day off its essentially a 2-day turnaround after a long-haul trip too.
When the Warriors start playing Perth again, we better not play Sunday, then again on Friday (and vice versa). I've forgotten what it was like back in '95-'97, but we should always play each other on Thursday/Friday, so we get the full week to recover.

They both seemed to play well in NSW Cup.

Then again, it wasn't Dallin's worst game on the weekend.

Definitely a link? (I don't know much about ACL injuries and what contributes to them).

I dunno, but maybe pushing yourself with limited rest between games can open yourself up to injury. But, then again, you can get injured at training (including pre-season training) and you can even get injured at your kid's birthday party (Kidwell).

Hoping all the Panthers boys get a rest.
But could set us up for trouble if we took them lightly.

With the Panthers on tenterhooks I think the coach has no option but to haul his Origin stars back from Perth.

Logistically, they'd leave Thursday, land in Sydney, wait around for a bit, depart for Auckland. Arrive Thursday night, with one day to recover.

They'll be stuffed, the poor bastards. I hope they play though as, if we win, we'd always want to do it with their big stars playing.

Yea man the logistics are tough aye, on all fronts. I'm no S&C expert but I'm guessing jumping straight onto a 4hr flight isn't the ideal morning after recovery routine.

Leiataua has played 15 first grade games and I think this is at least the 4th injury he has had in that time and at least the 3rd time he has been injured in his first game back.

Hope he can get over this because he's massively injury prone so far (chronic ankle issues?).

Not ideal with Berry and Capes unlikely. Harper to get a call-up?
Berry supposed to be due back but do we risk him or give him more time to recover?

If not him, I'd go Eddie Ieremia-Toeva. Looked okay at centre in the trials, though I think he's played all his Cup games since in the back row
