A delightfully inconvenient result in some ways. I am still not satisfied with the shape of this team, but that win earns some breathing space, right? In saying that, this team can and should be judged on 2 rounds, so their performance is....mixed?

1- Tuivasa Sheck. It's inconvenient, as it pulls him off the wing and we don't have wingers. But he isn't a winger anyway.
2- Berry. As well placed as anyone right now to take this spot.
3- Leiataua
4- Nicoll-Klokstad
5- Tauipiki. Also not a winger, but as I said, we don't have wingers. Any reason why he can't switch sides?
6- Harris-Tavita
7- Metcalf. Still not sold on him in 7, but he played well enough to get another shot.
8- Fisher Harris
9- Egan
10- Barnett
11- Capewell
12- Laban
13- Clark

14- Walker
15- Vaimauga
16- Halasima
17- Niukore- I wasn't as impressed with him as some seemed to have been, but did enough. Put him back in the middle, off the bench.

Pompey and Ford out
Laban and Berry in

I'm so keen to get Healey into the side.

The more I see of Tauipiki the more I see him as a half.
The try he scored in the first half, leaving Jazz clutching at fresh air, was so reminiscent of Stacey.
He could ignite that backline.

Yeah, I'm still a bit anxious about him on the wing, but he's some sort of player. Just not sure what kind of player, but a player.

If webby made no changes after a loss he sure as heck won’t change after a win.

and 100percent taines future is in the number 6. He isn’t a winger.

I just hope we don’t muck him around like we did lolohea chopping and changing positions.

two wrongs don't make a right

which isn't at all to invalidate your point. But surely, we need to make changes to be truly competitive. In actuality, the changes I proposed are minimal and, I think, sensible, if not obvious.

Another tough game. Roosters of course having beaten the Riff are gonna be on a high.

Their attack poses some really big problems for us. Hopefully we survive the initial onslaught like we did vs Manly and we settle into a competitive contest.

It must be tempting for Webster to use Berry who is playing well in cup.

And we have Laban there who has been on fire this season, Jacob has gained some speed in the off season, which is very exciting, given he has the stamina side of the game inbuilt.

There is always this tension between experienced players, and newbies in the selection of an NRL squad.

We already have a newbie look to our current line up, so bringing in someone like Laban when we are already risking using the inexperienced Halasima and Sifakula is a big gamble for Webster.

Same applies to the backs, bringing in Berry for Pompey is a risk in a backline that has an new line up, a half back who has never played 7, a Winger that is a NSW cup fullback, another winger who is an ex NRL fullback, and a NSW cup Junior Center in Leiataua. And then CHT who is on again off again.

Taking out the defensive experience of Pompey for the like of Berry is a big call.

I expect no changes apart from Laban coming in for Capewell if the later is injured.
