This was my point exactly. DWZ will own the fullback role. He has the opportunity now to showcase his skills from the back. He has been too caged up in the centres. How much more comfortable (and reliable) did he look last week when switched to the back.

I disagree on Cartwright, when there was no other options he has been running straight and hard all season. He blew Friday open because he moved to 5/8 where he got early ball in the middle of the field with option runners, rather getting the ball late being the option runner.

Moylan has as many try assists as Thurston this year, it will take some special kick returns to cover that loss. Dallin will add a different dimension to our attack though and he can pass so we will see.

I don't think he was running that hard to start the year, I have definitely noticed a change recently in that regard. And yeah he tore them up after he got moved but he has filled in at 6 a bit this season so its not the first time he had those options.

It was a bit "tongue in cheek". Moylan is an excellent player. I just think we will be more than happy with DWZ back there playing his more natural game.

Yeah I think Ivan would have told him to concentrate on nailing the fundamentals of his position for a time before being allowed to bring in the skill stuff. He combined them very well against Parra and that is the type of game that will make him a superstar if he can do it consistently. He's still really young for a forward and has less than 20 games under his belt. He's going to be quite a player if he works.

I think this Moylan conversation just reinforces why the switch to the halves needs to happeb.. Maybe not this year but definitely next. We can have those silky backline moves inside the 20 plus the threat in the middle to finish off longer distance tries which we never manage these days.

Yeah I agree, Dallin is going to be one hell of a player in a year or two. Moylan playing 6 with DWZ out the back and guys like Whare, Jennings and Waqa outside them will be deadly.

The Tele reports Matt Moylan had surgery on his ankle yesterday at St Vincent's and will be out for up to 10 weeks.

Yeah no good. Pretty worried about this game, Whare helps but Melbourne will put that left edge through the ringer, no team tests edge defence decision making as much as Melbourne with cronk and slater and proctor in particular work well down that Melbourne right side.. Slater back, Melbourne were "soft as" last week according to Bellamy so no doubt he blasted them all week, lots of danger signs.

ET came out in interview yesterday and said Sowie will play. Soward himself said he will play.

The way he played Friday at 5/8 you'd think Bryce would be a no brainer, hope he is the one playing there. I like Anderson to lock better than Docker.
