It's harsh on TT but I really think CNK needs to go back to No.1 and play a genuine centre on that left hand side. CNK was the heart of everything we did when we were going well, I just don't think we can carry on with the stopgap measure in bigger games.

If it's Berry, so be it I guess.

I saw RTS said if we lost another outside back last week, Kosi was going to centre. Imagine that!

RTS's contract is to end of 2026. Whether he extents is subject to getting that Rugby comp going i'd guess. He's playing well this year. Another year older next year (33). Hopefully he doesn't do a Money Bill and run out in the middle of the night.

Sonny Bill was 19. Let it go brother. I made much stupider decisions at 19. I just wasn't in the spotlight. If he just said he was emotionally distressed, or homesick or whatever lame excuse they use these days, it would have been a nothing event.

Is it though? DWZ hasn't done much wrong in the last two games and seems to be coming right.
Most of the tries leaked against the Dragons were on Pompey.

TT has been solid but unspectacular.

I like it re Vaimauga, give him some extra responsibility and see if he is up to potentially playing bigger minutes, and shifting Ford's. I reckon he'll be up to it

Pretty sure, though have no evidence other than watching the game last week, that he got some extra time and seemed to go well. The whole pack will have to go longer. Tino back this time for the Titans too. But its the pace of their backs that troubles us typically. So forwards will have to dominate to keep their opportunities down

eh I dunno. He was actually 23 and in his 5th season of first grade. What he did was particularly unusual and I'm not sure we've quite seen the same thing happen since.

Maybe it’s a tacit admission from Webster that he got it wrong v Dogs. Given the kick/chase/pressure gameplan he's been wedded to the last 3 years, dropping the one half decent kicker we have left, and not having any halves cover on the bench as a result, was always a big call.

I like Leka off the bench, I think he'll have a massive impact when he comes on.

If Berry doesn't tick all the fitness boxes we'll probably see TT at fullback again and CNK at centre.

If EIT stays in the squad my guess is he'll play middle. Or maybe Bunty will come in for him - but Bunty definitely can't play long minutes

I think the point being made is that he hasn’t let anyone in the last couple weeks.

Feagai’s early line break last week was due to a two man overlap, and the two tries he scored after that were straight up misses by Pompey. Week before that Pompey let in Crichton too.

The other thing to consider is how ineffectual Taine’s yardage carries were over the same period. He’s tried hard, but he’s just been manhandled.

Maybe on a drier track he could use his footwork better but right now, DWZ is easily the better option. He’s defending well and he’s a much stronger ball carrier. Given we’re short on middles, his yardage work is even more important this week.
