i think if we do what tha cowboys did like get out of dumy half quick and put a pass to a support player like simmo or albet we could score some tries.

Who will mark Hodges?

Hopefully it will be Bailey as he will bait Hodges all game and try to put him off. Hodges was their best back last week.

Which speedster will shine for the Broncs?

Whichever one faces up to Snail Covell will have a field day and run around him all day, just like last year. Covell should be fullback.

Which Brissy forward will want to rough it up?

None. Because they're all soft cox and the big unit ( Hutch) will fire up and snot the lot of em. The advantage of having an angry man in our pack which will give it a bit of mongrel.

Man of the match?

GREG BIRD

To do that we will need to find someone who is quick out of dummy half.

Surprising Bird, could go quite well this match, he was making some line breaks before injury last year, and can pop a pass, his style of play may well be hard for broncs to handle.

Man of Match, breakthrough year for Reece Williams, cam on great last year, and more improvement this year, will be a starring forward

How is petrol 70 cents, and webcke "soft cox"

Only ever seen Webke get into a blue and he ended up on his arse after one hit. Nuh neither of them is likely to get into a stink and the rest of them are girls. The sharkies have gotta run roughshod over them and put some niggle into the game and with the tough as teac kiwis we'll end up on top of their softy pack.

OH you mean the biff..

I thought you were talking about the footy game.. It could work.. but webcke and 70cents are premier props.. they will eat hutch alive.. Its gonna be difficult.

I doubt trying to bait Hodges will work, especially if we are behind on the scoreboard. Since going back to the Broncs I think he's removed that from his game, at least I don't remember it being an issue last year?

Apart from Albert and Simmo we lack pace big time.
The Broncos mightnt be the fastest team on the planet but they look like they can match us pretty well.
The Broncos looked like a few of their guys were underdone last week.
The run would help them for sure.
No doubt we'll be better for the outing but are we good enough to win this week?
Lets hope.

Exactly how I feel about this week's game, Foz. Y'know who I think holds the key for us here....Dykes. If he can contain Lockyer and give us a 2nd. option (after Noddy) for the attack then I think we can win. If he has a dud game then I don't think we can.
I don't like to sound negative but, unless he improves a lot on past performances, I don't think Simmonds adds much. I think our centre pairing looks unbalanced/disjointed, and I'm not real confident seeing Bird at lock. I reckon Hutch could run out of puff and lose his impact as a starter but, against all this, I reckon our potential bench looks very strong. and that's a BIG plus.
Hope I'm wrong with some of my negative? comments. :?

yeah dykes is the weakest link

concerns in the starting pack as well with hutch, kingston and williams

if we dont hold them in the first 15 minutes we are toast

There is question marks all over that side.

Simmo at fullback? No-one really knows how he will go.

Bailey in the centres? Has worked before, has failed before.

Scott in the centres? Is he really up to fisrt grade?

Dykes at 5/8th? Can he get back to his best?

Noddy at halfback? Is he going to remain too involved?

Bird at lock? Can he get anywhere near his potential this year?

Thomo 2nd row? Will he play with the same passion?

Maiava at starting prop? Is he going to handle the pace of the opening 10?

The bench? The whole thing is a massive ? apart from Loo Loo.

the Sharks most creative player now peach has gone by ten country miles. left & right pass, kicks both feet, excellent dummies, sensational support play, excellent front on, on the line defense. His problem is injuries & that is his weakness.

But we do have a 1 dimensional half back playing, in the new game dominated by multi dimensional players. But thats right, hes its somebody esles fault he is 1 dimensional.

Broncos played bad last week and they will fix that . Ive got a bad feeling about this game . We have a lot of newish combos to get used to and no Vagana or Gallen. On the bright side our forwards look good on the park and on the bench.

I saw them train yesterday...albeit very breifly....

I drove past Solander and spotted them standing there.

They were wearing shirts with cut off sleeves and one bloke had a sun visa on.

So going by what I did see I think we are in with a strong chance.
