I imagine JRo will drop off, hopefully. Wouldn't of minded Fusitua getting that #18 as he was very good in both the Nines and Broncos trial. Nice to see Palavi debuting too.

Quite surprised to see no Hurrell, though other than being on the receiving end of two great plays by the Warriors in that Brisbane trial he was very ineffective in that game, and was no where to be seen in the Nines.

Must say I love the spine too, the most balanced spine we've had since probably Cleary/Hohaia/Jones/Marsh in 2002.

Hurrell came back 10kg overweight and was slow in the Nines and out of breath after two runs versus the Broncos. Only one person is to blame for Konrad's non-selection, and his name is Konrad.

Nielsen is under and injury cloud and Ropati is cover in case he pulls up lame.

Once again, I'd rather have a relatively washed-up centre as back-up than one who's out of shape because of his own poor discipline and decisions.

Perfect team under the circumstances... though I would have had Laumape ahead of Ropati or Tui.

Extremely happy Palavi got the 13 jersey as I had predicted. Also Lousi on the bench = winning

On paper, another dynamic-looking Warriors side, one of the best I've seen in years.

Have Parra shown much over the trials/nines? Hope they're not deliberately swimming under surface, so to speak.

I'm happy for Ropati to be 18. If guys like Hurrell, Laumape and Fusitua were 18 and the chosen 17 played then they would be missing out on valuable game time elsewhere.

Team was pretty much as expected IMO. Not complaining at all. Bench looks pretty intimidating.

no issue with Hurrell not being picked. I don't care how damaging he can be, if we have to carry an outside back on the bench for him as cover, because he's too fat to last 80mins, that just weakens the squad.

Yes, just looking at that bench (assuming Ropati drops off) makes me sure it was the right call.

Which is really disappointing given Hurrell's potential.
Good to see that he hasn't been cut any slack purely on name.

Disappointed Laumape didn't make the side. Not sold on Tui at centre (or at FG-level), but other than that, looks like a good team.
