Anyone know why Reyno got hooked with 15 to go? Wouldnt surprise me to see him rested next Monday against Canberra.

his left leg isnt 100% right, so he got a rest. when he is 100% i think he will stay on, and keary to come on at five eighth, and sutton to move to second row/lock. eventually sutton to start in the second row/lock and keary starting at five eighth. keary is quite good at those high kicks!

I agree with Reynolds needing a freshen up maybe Madge will put him on the bench against Canberra and only play him if required or for only 15-20 mins. I do think that Sutton cannot be moved from five eighth. When Sutton is at lock we have lost games we could have won with him at 6. Sutton gives a good strong running game and direction going forward instead of going sideways. It then allows either Keary or Reynolds to have more time. After tonight's performance there is great competition for halfback, Keary did everything right in the last 15 and worked great with Sutton.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have gotten back in the winners’ circle tonight (Friday) defeating the Parramatta Eels by 32-12 in the NRL’s RiseForAlex round – Alex Johnston and Sam Burgess bagging doubles.
It was a night of high emotions and solidarity at Parramatta Stadium, firstly for the RiseForAlex initative, but also owing to the moments silence observed by the 16,125 strong crowd in respect of the 27 Australians killed in the MH17 disaster.
The Rabbitohs muscled up with some brutal defence in the opening exchanges that had the Eels going backwards on their own line, while with the ball in hand, the side looked equally as dangerous when an Adam Reynolds grubber-kick into the in-goal was nearly planted down for a try.
But it would be the Eels who would grab first points through big back-rower, Tepai Moeroa – the forward’s lurking in the back-line paying dividends. Chris Sandow converted to make it 6-0.
The Eels took control of the match but failed to capitalise with points. Lote Tuqiri then found himself on report after a suspected crusher-tackle half-way through the opening stanza.
Issac Luke was making easy metres from dummy-half for the red and greens as the side fought to get onto the score-board – the little hooker earning a repeat-set through a penalty that parked Souths right on the Parra tryline. Tuqiri capitalised on the back of a well-orchestrated back-line movement to open the red and green account for the night. Adam Reynolds made a meal of the conversion attempt, leaving the score at 6-4.
Three minutes from full-time, Chris Sandow managed a booming forty-twenty that put the Eels right in attacking position with Souths on the back-foot. But Dylan Walker diffused the situation with an intercept and streaking 70 metres before being collected high by Sandown in a desperate tackle. The penalty put the Rabbitohs back on the front foot with Sam Burgess streaking through to score to take the lead. Reynolds made no mistake with the conversion 15 metres in from touch to take the sides to the break at 10-6 in the Rabbitohs’ favour.
On the resumption, The Eels had a try disallowed after the Parramatta player bounced the ball over the line. But it was Souths who ended up scoring at the other end of the field when Alex Johnston crossed for his eighth try of his career in eight career games. Reynolds converted to make it 16-6.
Joe Picker was denied a try thanks to an obstruction during the play, before Parramatta made no mistake with one of their own with 22 minutes left in the match, with Joseph Paulo grabbing the points. Sandown converted to make it 16-12 in the Rabbitohs’ favour.
With 17 minutes remaining, halfback Adam Reynolds was substituted for Luke Keary, who with only his second touch hoisted a well-placed cross-field bomb that landed in Kyle Turner’s hands for the young gun to score. Dylan Walker was handed kicking duties with Reynolds off the pitch, but the centre was unsuccessful with the attempt.
It mattered little though, because with seven and a half minutes left, speedster Alex Johnston outpaced Vai Toutai on the fringe before racing over to score his second of the night and his ninth in eight games. Issac Luke backed up his strong performance by converting the try from right on the touch-line to all but seal the game at 26-12.
Chris Sandow did his side no favours from the kick-off when his short kick-off went awry – failing to travel the required ten metres. The Rabbitohs took full advantage, with Sam Burgess sneaking across from dummy half right under the sticks with four minutes remaining. Luke converted from in front to make it 32-12

Rabbitohs 32 (Lote Tuqiri, Sam Burgess 2, Alex Johnston 2, Kyle Turner, tries; Adam Reynolds 2, Issac Luke 2 goals)
Defeated
Eels 12 (Tepai Moeroa, Joseph Paulo tries; Chris Sandow 2 goals)

South Sydney broke a 7042-day losing drought at Parramatta – and the Eels' finals chances – with a clinical 32-12 win last night at Pirtek Stadium.
In the process, the Rabbitohs extended their winning streak against the Eels to seven games and kept their minor premiership hopes alive with a come-from-behind win at one of their more unhappy hunting grounds.
The last time the red and green left O’Connell Street with the two points was in round 5, 1995 when a Ken Shine-coached Rabbitohs orchestrated a 40-18 win with a team that included former Eels David Penna and Greg Drake.

Last night Sam Burgess and Greg Inglis ensured the drought would be broken in style with the big plays at the big times to get the bunnies back in the winning circle.

Early on it was the unlikely duo of a 198-game veteran who was playing NSW Cup a fortnight ago and a second game rookie with a rugby background who laid the platform for the Eels.
Fuifui Moimoi and Tepai Moeroa were outstanding for the blue and gold with plenty of big hits in attack and defence.
Moeroa opened the scoring when he charged onto a pass from Corey Norman for his first try in the top grade.
Souths began to gain the ascendency on the back of a near perfect completion rate in the opening half and opened their account in the 27th minute when Lote Tuqiri finished off a slick backline move.
One of the biggest plays in the game came just before halftime when the rocks or diamonds Chris Sandow produced his league leading 4th 40/20 and then promptly supplied an intercept pass to Dylan Walker.
The former Souths halfback was then was placed on report for shoulder charge when Walker was eventually chased down on the floor.
From the penalty, Burgess finished off an identical move to their first try to take their first lead of the game. A lead they would never give up.
When big Ben Smith wound back the clock to break the Souths line early in the second half, the Eels should have hit back but winger Vai Toutai dropped the ball over the line.
Inglis, who along with Jarryd Hayne forgo their trademark No.1 jerseys as a tribute to injured Newcastle Knights player Alex McKinnon, then added salt to the wound when he supplied the last pass to Alex Johnston to start the points scoring in the second half.
From then on the often maligned pair of John Sutton-Adam Reynolds guided Souths to an important win on the road.
Back-up half Luke Keary, who was not used by coach Michael Maguire until the 65th minute, delivered the decisive blow with a kick that was marked by Kyle Turner to extend the lead beyond a converted try
It was fitting Sam Burgess put the icing on the cake with his second try to cap of a man of the match display.
The Eels fourth loss in a row could see them drop as low as 13th on the ladder after the weekend’s games with back-to-back away games against the Titans and Sharks in the next fortnight.
Meanwhile the Rabbitohs will enjoy a 10-day break before their charge towards the top four continues against the Gold Coast Titans next Monday.
The match kicked off “Rise for Alex” round where hundreds of members of the blue and gold army sported blue and red wristbands raising money for the Alex McKinnon fund.
For the Eels, Hayne, the sole survivor from the last Parramatta team to defeat Souths in 2007, tried valiantly to break the recent hoodoo against Souths with 200 running metres.

Really impressive display by the Burgess boys but think Luke was our star. Great game from dummy half and defence was solid. Kyle Turner continues to impress with his form, so strong in defence and takes the ball up really well. Was screaming at Tuquri with that stupid early penalty when we had them smashed in defence but after that he played ok, though in trouble with the crusher tackle.
Walker was difficult to bring down and has great pace over a short distance, Tonga had trouble all night with him.
Turning point though was that dropped ball over the line by Tautai - that could have made a difference, we will never know. After that we seemed to get control and finished well.
Not sure why it took Madge to bring on Keary with 17 mins to go but he does spark the attack when he is on and great first up kick for the Turner try. He takes the line on which is what Reynolds does not seem to have the confidence and nous to do so. Souths play their best footy with Sutton at 5/8 so will be interesting mix to see what eventuates in the halves.
I think I heard Hayne say in post match interview that their forwards dominated and he blamed their backs. Must have been watching a different game as our forwards went ok...
Good win and now a break until Monday.

I think our forwards (young pack without Mannah) held their own. Definitely set a decent platform for our backs. But just couldn't execute well enough.

Yeah Sutton gives us control at 6. When he's not there you really notice his absence.

Yes I agree that they played well but hardly dominated as in Hayne's eyes. Good performance but just lacked a little at certain times. The bombed try was crucial.
