James bell likely to debut tonight
Because we are shit and are just blooding the new guys for practise?Do you know why?
I hear what you're saying, yeah there's bigger problems...but just because it's not the biggest problem doesn't mean it's not annoying.
I don't think charm and eloquence wins football games but our coach talks absolute shit and is about as uninspiring as they come (read 'it's not a problem if we don't talk about it' and 'process'). As I said in another thread, I can't think of another successful coach in any sport who was as uninspiring. You kinda get a sense of why these guys again aren't responding. These guys are wandering sheep who need a strong sheep dog to kick their arse, who has long experience on the farm. Four coaches in a row who just don't have it - and we've blown off at least one coach who did/does.
Do you know why?

...Hasler might be entertaining as hell in his pressers, doesn't mean the players are listening to him though.
Don't want to derail this thread. But you seem to be closer to the club than most. Any idea on how Kearney is perceived?
Edit. Rich and MKEB please move this to the Kearney thread if it's annoying others.
This is my problem with all of the Kearney slagging though. Do we actually know that he's uninspiring to the Players? This perception is based off the way he speaks to the media. I'd flip the question and ask how many good coaches actually rip their players apart in the media. Most of them may off handedly allude to things (as Kearney himself has done recently), but the actual arse kicking or motivational stuff is done in the sheds, behind closed doors. What player is going to put in for a coach that hangs him out to dry in public?
You've had involvement with the club in the past. Maybe you know this for a fact and I don't. I'm just curious as to what the truth actually is.
Hasler might be entertaining as hell in his pressers, doesn't mean the players are listening to him though. Bennett is as dry as a nuns proverbial, but it seems like his guys would go to war for him.
Personally Kearney bores me to tears. But I'm not the one who runs out on the field each week.
Some of them have the same problems with Kearney that they've had with the last 5 coaches.
Some just aren't prepared to behave like professional footballers while they're still in NZ.
Bluey, Elliot, McFadden and Maybe Kearney can't fix that shit alone.
