I'd have Motzen and Head in the halves with the world's worst 1/2 at hooker. If Halatau is back I wouldn't have Flanagan in the 17.

Flanagan did some ok things in attack, got out of dummy half reasonably well and threw some decent passes, but does that horrendous match turning effort in the in-goal cancel his good work? Tough call. Morris was adequate at hooker, made a couple of darts and remembered how to pass but isn't as creative there as Flanagan.

I'd probably go with:

That combined with missing 1/4 of his tackles. Made 15, missed 5.

That in-goal thing was unforgivable, kid's stuff.

Punt him for at least a week.

Not sure what Flanagan was on the bench for anyway, if Morris was starting as Hooker? Was Moltzen supposed to cover for Head if injured? With Morris going to 5/8 and Flanagan to Hooker? Seems pretty convoluted, with Fulton in the mix also.

Would have thought starting with-

Flanagan... 9
Moltzen... 6
Head... 7
Fulton... 13
Bench... Morris

would have at least allowed them all to play to their strengths. Morris at 14 would have provided at least rudimentary cover in the halves, cover at Hooker, plus provided a bit more grunt to spell a forward, particularly in defence. This starting line up would have left a bench spot open for another Forward, plus allowed for possible injury to Head.

If having a stand-by for Head isn't a pre-requisite with the bench, would look at-

Morris... 9
Moltzen... 6
Head... 7
Fulton... 13
Bench... whatever combination required, preferably more forwards, natch.

Agreed on the need for a kick in the pants area for Flanagan Re the ingoal flub.

Exactly, he was obviously told the last 7 minutes would be his and he comes on and serves up that rubbish. Enough is enough, let's get somebody out there that understands the role and knows how to contribute.

our attack looked awesome with Morris as soon as flanagan came on it dropped so bad it wasnt funny

he shouldnt be in the side if we need help with morris at hooker use Halatau we dont need to waist a bench spot on a crappy player
