Exactly, he was obviously told the last 7 minutes would be his and he comes on and serves up that rubbish. Enough is enough, let's get somebody out there that understands the role and knows how to contribute.
He didn't even get 7. It was 4 1/2 minutes by the time he took a position. He managed to get his hands on the ball once, maybe twice, at dummy half(?) He put the hit on Chalk that produced a knock on.
Would hope to get to see Moltzen with a Halfback, and possibly with Farah. But just 1xrun with Head to see how he goes. Having Morris at Half for all 4 outings, plus Farah on crutches, and no Farah at all, for the 2 poor showings may not be the best examples to make a call on. In rounds 1 and 2, although not seriously tested by opposition, with Farah working, Moltzen came across as pretty adept.
A main concern with the situation, is that I suspect that we shouldn't count on Marshall at 5/8 anymore. If he can play, it is a bonus, but we shouldn't expect more than half a dozen games per season. It is likely to be the same case with Head. That's both halves in ongoing doubt. WT should plan for it. This is the reason for wanting to extend another go for Moltzen, IMO anyway. Should not be looking at Morris to do it, long term. He takes up too much cap space, and is best used as a utility.
Can Fulton do the 5/8? He is at least adequate, and under the right conditions can do well. But he is needed at lock, and he has not had all great games at 5/8 either. If Fulton can provide a safer 5/8, for the next round, and the 13 is not going to be weakened significantly for it, then ensuring the 2points is definitely a priority. However, preparing to cover for Marshall, long term is going to be important.
