In the first couple of games Gubb played his defence was awesum. But the smart coaches like Hasler and Bellemy watched video of his kamikaze technique and showed that footwork close to the defencive line wil show Gubb up. Looked whats happened the last 2 games

Honesty about form is definitely a good thing, at least he knows he's been shit

What I don't understand is his laconic attitude on the field, letting guys run through him, throwing half-arsed passes, not dashing off trying to find holes.

Just watched a very interesting news piece on TV1.

Basically it said Manu and Ben Muts both trained with the NSW Cup side. McFadden hinted strongly that there will be changes from the side named on Tuesday, that people (including Issac Luke addressed personally via a reporter's question) are in the crosshairs etc.

Dunno if it's on their site but it is very worth a watch.

I mean, it's probably note-worthy that he's not scared to put big names on notice or drop them. But wow, this guy is off the plank already. He can't win without Ben. He probably can't win without Issac. Manu is the sacred cow of our local fanbase. This is a sorry, sorry state of affairs that leads to two of them training in the 2nds, and the other freely admitting he shouldn't be picked.

Saw that, does Ben deserve to be dropped? There probably players right across the park that could be I suppose but at the same time you wouldn't want to change the entire team.

Matulino not only deserves to be dropped but he deserves to be sold, turning into Sam Rapira MkII

Absolutely no comparison. He's clearly disillusioned. I said to a mate a couple of weeks ago, I reckon we'll lose Ben - unless we get rid of this coach quick smart and start using him properly.

Ben played 73 minutes v Manly, due in no part to injuries elsewhere that I remember. He played 71 the two previous weeks to that. V the Dogs, he played 45 then 57 v the Storm.

The moment I remember the most is against the Knights, he scored then threw the ball away. Impossible to hide that sort of 'f**k this shit' body language.

I wouldn't be surprised if we lose him, other clubs will be selling their grandmothers to get him in. He should be a Warrior for life but after years of abject failure - remembering he was our best for years - he'll look elsewhere.

That's idiotic, and Iron Lion is being idiotic too. This club is a joke.

Cappy is all over the show with Mutts. He went from coming on too late to save a lost game in rd 1 to playing 70 odd minute games.

If Kearney picks him in the ANZAC test, and he should, he'll have a blinder.

Yep, 100%. McFadden doesn't know how to coach anyone. Then it's their fault.

 Matulino is not the problem - that's bizarre - RTS aside the spine has been appalling... if he wants to sack big names I'd put Luke and Johnson in the reggies for a bit

For those in Qld, NSW, Vic & Tas. Sunday 12.00 NOON AEST kick-off, be careful not to presume it's at the usual 2.00 pm slot!

Johnson and Luke should be in NSW before Matulino and Manu, but what is training attitude? As seniors in the team are they stepping up?

Tiggas just bounced!
Can we do the same against one of boogie teams?

And we drop to 14th. I know it's nitpicking but that six-pointer, when we rushed over to fight instead of defending against Manly, well, it's cost us a place on the ladder right now.

That was far more damning in terms of how it indicated our complete lack of professionalism than any ladder position it cost us. Messers Luke, Gubb and Lisone all involved, and all been completely shithouse this season.

That Manly game summed a lot of things up. That was just a well drilled outfit coasting along at a gear comfortably above ours and putting us away, and they're not even competition front runners.

It gets worse when you realise our only wins was a golden pointer against the bottom Roosters, putting away second bottom Newcastle (after a shocking first half), and the Dogs win (impressive but it was close). We also lost to the struggling Tigers.

Roosters will come right imo, spoon fight with the Knights unless we change something majorly. Shocking.
