No noticeable names in the Tigers NSW cup side so shouldn't be any surprises.
Only question was whether Tedesco will be named in First Grade or Toyota Cup .. Mitch Brown has been named for BRE, but Tom Humble hasn't ... so will Humble or Tedesco be the fullback?

I assume Tedesco, but Humble hasn't been named for BRE and is too old for Toyota Cup, I think ..

I think Reddy has been trialling in the back-row as well .. wouldn't be surprised if Reddy is Wests' 2012 token bench utility.

I just threw up in my mouth a little. If I were a Parra fan, I'd have blown chunks everywhere.

Hindy could be heading for spoon contention in his final year and Kearney is up against it after coming in with massive wraps.

That is a god awful team.

Funnily enough, the same thing was said about our Round 1 team last year, and we beat the Warriors at Eden Park.
Hayne, Tonga, Loko, Smith and co all injured.
Funny how two names will make that team look so much better.

They wouldn't make it look better by much.

Awful.

Yes - but with Loko and Smith injured for basically the whole season, it's pointless discussing them (and Loko wouldn't be taking up cap space either).

I do agree that with Hayne and Tonga in the lineup, it looks stronger as Burt shifts to the wing and Blair and Morgan drop out .. but there is no hiding from a questionable halves combination, poor hooker rotation and a pretty bad back-row (when compared to most other sides).

The current team probably will have little attacking threat.
Hayne and Tonga would each be very helpful in that department, as well as seriously strengthening our edge defence.
Not that I'm at all saying its a great team at full strength, but injuries are definitely a big issue here.

And there is a point to discussing Loko because he would be in our first choice backline, ditto Smith in the backrow.

lacking in the backs for parra from 7 to 17 isn't too bad. Burt will do well from the back, will just be interesting to see how the centres go, i think Morgan will end up on the wing with Blair in the centres though

In regards to the Souffs side named and McGuire's thinking, at Wigan he had a gun fullback who could make plays from nothing every game. Merritt isn't that good. Last year his two wings - Richards and Charnley - came high up on the try scorers lists with two average-at-best halves. With Reynolds' supposed kicking game I can see where he's coming from.
