This is based on who played in round 1.

St. George/Illawarra Dragons - 23.96
Melbourne Storm - 24.09
Sydney Roosters - 24.66
Bulldogs - 24.79
Cronulla Sharks - 24.83
Penrith Panthers - 25.05
Wests Tigers - 25.14
Brisbane Broncos - 25.15
Parramatta Eels - 25.36
Canberra Raiders - 25.42
Newcastle Knights - 25.53
Gold Coast Titans - 25.57
Warriors - 25.62
North QLD Cowboys - 25.94
Manly Sea Eagles - 26.24
South Sydney Rabbitohs - 27.76

Please keep in mind that the Cowboys figure is horribly inflated by at least 7-8 years by the presence of Jason Smith.

Its unbelievable for such a young side the storm can be such a force. There oldest player would be geyer, with maybe smith being the second oldest? There pure athleticism is a match for there lack of experience.

Smith is only 23. Still a spring chicken.

You can have a look on the site. In the original post just click on the team and in the list of players click on the Age heading, and it will order them by age.

Ok, did you include the 25 squad like matt rua whose turning 30 and Ben Cross?

Doesn't really matter, still a very young side.

Sounds about right...

I remember a time when the Eels had the lowest average player age in the NRL. What an age we lived in.

You need a youngish side these days with rookies and experience in the mix to be potent.
If you have a look at the premiers of the last 8 years they have always been young

If Jason Smith were 10 years younger, then the average age of the Cowboys would be the same as the Raiders. (ie - it would move them up a few spots on the ladder)

His age only makes a differnce of 0.5 years to the total...
