Teams done this year

Raiders will probably make the 8 but they "are done" from seriously competing unless they improve about ten million percent.
The raiders have the roster that no one wants to play in finals.

Week in week out they are inconsistent, but I'd hate to be the 1, 2 and 3 defenders coming up against leipana in a sudden death match, or being the 3 and 4 defender having to make decisions about what Austin and papalli are going to run at you.

Keep Hodgson fit this year and scrape in and you'll definitely worry some teams.

Too early to write anyone off as far as top 8 goes with the Knights being the only exception due to their talent/experience poor roster at the moment.

Origin period can change a lot and there's always a couple of teams who gain momentum or lose it in the back end of the season. Besides just about every team is 1-2 long term injuries away from disaster.

Lol at Mangry writing the Warriors off an hour before they win. But we know that's just because he's death riding Kearney out of his slightly creepy man-love for Stacey Jones.

You were crap at the beginning of last season as well and look how that turned out. Raiders will make the top 4 again.

Almost certain the top 4 will be Raiders Storm Broncos and Sharks. No other side looks the goods at this point.

The Roosters - cause the refs won't give them a fair shot and penalise them out of games * sob sob

FMD boys, it's like a 'who's who' of rugby league stardom with the list you are compiling.

Edmed, Cressbrook, Vowles.

This year is certainly running to a script eh Coolum?

Melbourne are streets ahead. You can't see anyone catching them bar some huge disaster, and with the carrot of Cronk leaving you would be brave to back against them for the Minor/Major double.
Brisbane have a great squad, a good coach, a dream schedule and the refs and NRL seem hell bent on getting them over the line. They will finish high, this much is obvious.
The Sharks have been shit and are still winning, they really can only get better so I would see them finishing in the top 4 given their squad and experience; but they won't be going back to back.
Going on current form you have to favour the Roosters for the other top 4 spot, good squad, playing well enough and a smart coach. Firepower all over the park, good NRL level halves.

On the other end of the spectrum forget the Knights.

The Bunnies, Tigers and Penrith are capable of going on a run but I am happy to write them off at this stage. It's too big a mountain to climb.

For me they are the only teams you can lock in.

Then you start to get into that glut of teams fighting for the bottom half of the 8 and spots 8-12 (i.e we are still alive but we are making up the numbers.. You could really toss the teams names in the air and let them fall where they may for the good predictions do with this mob but here goes.

I reckon the Dragons have shown enough and have enough wins on the board to build on this start and will scrape in but they will slide out of the top 4 for sure.
Manly seem solid enough to finish above 50/50, they do seem one or two injuries away from plummeting though.
Surely the Raiders have enough firepower to get enough wins to make the 8? It's a disaster for Ricky if they don't.
I like the Titans this year. They are a damn solid team for what they look like on paper and once things start heating up Hayne should get them wins. But then there's the Cowboys! Thurston will be back and they have 2 more wins than the Titans. Surely they make the 8 on the back of him. It's one or two of them, not both.
How can you tip the Warriors to do anything other than be inconsistent? Their coach is an idiot too. They miss the 8.
Dogs? Nah not with those halves.
Eels? Nah.

I've seen glimpses of a team that is unbeatable, of course we need to find that form and have the same luck with injuries as last year. Can't write us off and I know you don't either lol.

Warriors are a dark horse and genuine contenders imo.

As long as they keep their stars on the field.

How many years have the warriors been dark horses ?

Being a warriors fan must suck at times

Haha it does. I'm fairly confident we'll be in the 8 this year bar injury though. I think the last three weeks have shown we're competitive with top teams if not world beaters.

I agree and I am not normally one to jump on board but they have probably their best roster and are not rated as contenders.

I hope they do

They came into the comp as the same time as us and have been through so much

That feeling of your first comp win (as us and crunulla fans will testify to) after being through years of failure just can't be beaten

I think this warriors team is a bit different to previous failings mainly due to foran. When Johnson decides to go off the reservation and only get a touch to offload it to someone running and inside ball to a jammed defence for 0m gain or get plenty of touches only to prance sideways across the field and stifle anything that might be on they have foran to play the direct game and get positive plays happening. Had guys there before to "steady the ship" in the halves but not someone like foran who pound for pound strength wise is a freak and burst tackles, make 20m hitups himself when nothing is on and has to take on the line and score tries himself in the red zone. Jeff robson is a good example, very limited abilities.
