CREAGH RETURN BOOSTS DRAGONS GRAND FINAL CAMPAIGN
20 September 2005

The St George Illawarra Dragons are confident they will secure a Grand Final position against the Wests Tigers this Saturday evening.
The Dragons will welcome back second rower Ben Creagh from minor knee surgery. Creagh returns to the starting line-up with Ashton Sims moving back to the interchange bench.

Also this week the Dragons celebrate another milestone with front rower Luke Bailey reaching 100 First grade Games, "I'm very happy to be celebrating 100 Games in such a big match, I'm just hopeful we can get the victory and make it 101 next week."

Coach Nathan Brown is happy with the return of Creagh to the side, "Benny is a great and exciting young player and he adds a lot enthusiasm to our side."

Incidently, the TV news of Gasnier suffering from a calf injury have been updated with him being cleared of anything serious.

If there's a choice, they'll select Henderson ahead of Sims.

I'm wondering who's in doubt to name a 5 man bench. Creagh perhaps?

Not doubting you Willow - but I'm going to be surprised if that happens... Even though Ashton has been well below his best (for at least 6 weeks) he's a huge danger to any team we face.

Sims is way better than Hendo. hendo has been playing good but Sims on his day is 100 times better. Not many forwards better than Sims on his day. Sims scored in the 1st minute last time these 2 sides met.

Sims has too many little errors in his game at present (dropped balls, sloppy play the balls, poor offload choices etc), Hendo is more solid safe hit up man, and is a harder worker when it comes to defence.

I think Sims at his best is obviously a more damaging runner with a good offload, but given we have both Poore, Payne and Creagh who love to run wide, Sims may just miss out.

Add young to that list aswell when ennis comes off the bench!
