Say if both Dugan and Widdop weren't re-signed and these two wanted to come to the dragons but we could only afford one, who would you prefer to sign?

Tedesco. He's younger, you'd get more years out of him; plus we already have Ben Hunt coming next year.

Given that we already have a 7 in hunt coming and would be without a 1 I would say tedesco. We could slot young field in to partner hunt. Spine would be
1. Tedesco
6. Field
7. Hunt
9. McInnes
That would be pretty good I reckon.
Obviously all rubbish because tedesco isn't coming and this thread is merely fantasy

Tedesco - we are still building the team. Cronk has two years max, Tedesco we could build a spine around him+hunt over the next 5 years.

Anyways as crush said it won't be happening

None. We need to re-sign Dugan and Widdop. Looking at our squad now, all we are missing is a quality genuine halfback who we have already signed from 2018. Why start from scratch with 3 new members to a spine compared to one?
1. Dugan
6. Widdop
7. Hunt
9. McInnes

Tedesco without a shadow of a doubt given his age and potential to improve.

A hypothetical question could be who would you prefer: Tedesco or a younger version of Cronk (the same age as Tedesco)

Tedesco, because of his age. If there was a younger Cronk and he can name his own price

Does the visit to Melbourne's facilities by Dragon's officials earlier this year make more sense now?

I would prefer Tedesco for sure.

Cronk. If it was for a minimum two seasons. He would improve everyone else in the spine and set us up long term.

McInnes is very good. But could become great in two seasons with Cronk.

Dugan would learn to play off a half properly.

Hunt could easily play 6. Meanwhile he would learn how to organise a team from the best in the game.

Cronk might even be able to organise our right hand defense and improve aitken.

Imagine frizzel running off the kind of ball that Cronk would provide. *drools*

Cronk in the side makes us an instant top 4 team. Tedesco not so much.

Tedesco 100%. Cronk is a short term fix and there's no guarantee he would even deliver us a premiership.

Tedesco is a player you can build a team around for the next decade, no to mention he acts as a second 5/8 in the backline.
No brainer for me.

Well , I have just watched Nine New's Sports , with Cooper Cronk saying that at this point in time , he is NOT even thinking about playing for a Sydney club next season .

As far as Mr. Tedesco is concerned , it would appear that his so called announcement that he shall be joining the Dragons , is getting about the same distance away as is the moon . Perhaps it was indeed one of the rumours , that the Tiger's board purposely circulated 2 weeks ago , to catch the person that had been leaking information to the media ?

Let's give it up gents . We are now into round 6 of the new season , one that is full of promise for the Dragons , let's hold onto something that is real , instead of this pipe dream.
