I think again young Moeroa demonstrated that we have a gun in the making. His defence is impeccable, he runs hard dragging multiple defenders, his line for the try was fantastic and he has the work ethic. Moeroa has long been a star age at level competition although he has seamlessly taken his game to NRL level. I hope he is nurtured and developed as I believe his potential upside is through the roof. He has yet to offload although his highlight videos are full of this so he seems smart enough to play well within himself in grade as he gets accustomed. This suggests much about his temperament. I look forward to seeing him reach his dizzying potential in the blue and gold.

Couldn't agree more. Not many 18 year old forwards are doing this at NRL level. We have our new Hindy.

I think he will be a different style of player to Hindmarsh in the long run, but he is certainly showing some good signs as an edge forward.

I'd keep him in the top grade for a few more weeks before dropping him back to the lower grades for their Finals matches.

He did miss plenty of tackles last night though. The ones he made were strong but he still has plenty of improving to do.

Of course, for his age he is absolutely outstanding. Will definitely become a first grader.

Some of his misses were innocent - ie, reeled out of an attempted shot, while someone else finished them off.

But saw the stats and am now keen to watch again and see how many were poor reads and positioning

Also a few misses were later on when he looked very tired.

I was suprised Moeroa was the last of our forwards to be interchanged. Especially given it's his second game and first start against a big pack like Souths. Not a massive suprised he fatigued and started to miss a few tackles. He will be a talent if the club can managed him properly
