I don’t know how many times we have to tell you, I WAS THERE AND IT LOOKED LIKE A HUGE SHOULDER CHARGE, THE REF BLEW A KNOCK ON AND THERE WAS NO INSTANT PENALTY. AFTER THE PLAYERS HAD SEEN THE REPLAY THERE WAS NO MORE SLAPPING OF BACKS OR SMILES.

THIS PROVES:

A) THE FANS THOUGHT IT WAS A SHOULDER CHARGE
B) THE REF THOUGHT IT WAS A SHOULDER CHARGE
C) THE PLAYERS THOUGHT IT WAS A SHOULDER CHARGE

The tackle happened so fast that it was impossible for anyone with their naked eye to tell that Hoppa’s elbow/forearm had connected with galloway’s head.

Mightysharks, I don’t give two sh!ts if you hate Manly…..but you truly take it too far if you think that genuine manly fans were happy with this tackle.

How about you go and worry about how you weren’t able to beat a 12 man manly side after fighting back to 24-16.

And then to make matters worse when they showed it on the screen and I started yelling at Hoppa I had manly fans telling me to shut up and arguing that it wasn't that bad!

Before (Galloway was still lying on the ground injured though). After the replays were shown Hopoate was noticeably given the cold shoulder by the rest of the Manly players.

You forgot Hoppa thought it was a shoulder charge.

But I agree as the Fox Sports people thought it was legal until it was replayed.

he patted hoppa on the back 10 seconds after the tackle. No replay had been shown at that point of time.

also, you said that you only STARTED to yell at Hoppa after you saw the replay, but before you said that you saw the incident as clear as day. Why didn’t you start yelling when you saw his forearm connect with Keith’s head?

There was a definate difference in opinion depending on where you were sitting.

On the radio on the way back all the callers from the eastern or southern end thought it looked fine until they saw the replay

I watched the incident live on TV.
My eyes were fixed right on it.
On the first live shot Galloway was going backwards with Hoppa charging at him.
The point of contact wasn't shown.
I was thinking Galloway could have been hit high but the way everyone was reacting I started to assume it was a good hit.
I still wanted to see the replay because there was a doubt in my mind.
When we saw the replay thats when you knew what the result was.

fluffy, the TV and radio commentators who sit on the WEST side thought it was a legitimate tackle until they saw the replay.

So basically the South, East and West supporters/commentators thought it was a good tackle, what did the North think….my guess……they also thought it was a good tackle.

I was sitting on the hill where 80% of the supporters were and can guarantee you there was no booing….it was more a stunned silence (not at the fact that he was sent off, more to what we just had witnessed on replay)
