We don't know if Brent Tate's career is actually over, but if it is, I want to pay tribute to this great player.

Much under-rated by many fans, his sheer class as a footballer and a person is evident. When available, he has always been selected for Queensland. His comeback from four major injuries and several minor issues as well is a testament to his character. Many other players would have just given up - gone.

But not only did Tate return to the game, but he rose again to play for Queensland and Australia. What a champion!

Fantastic player and tough as nails. Coming back from multiple long term injuries takes serious mental fortitude and passion for the game

He has done some things I dont like/agree with but only a numpty judges a man on single actions alone.

Sad that he will unlikely get to finish on his own terms
