Marsh should have been the starting half right from the start of the season. Taylor had been replaced by Orford as the starting half in the Northern Eagles in the previous season. Brian Smith then went off on one of his humanitarian efforts by attempting to restore Taylor to his "rightful glory".

BTW - we have Parra supporters post on our sites and they are made welcome - I didn't think it was inappropriate for a Manly supporter to post on Parra sites.

And it worked, JT guided us to a grand final and broke the all time point scoring record, and played probably his best ever year of footy....
