Gee, and Smith and Sharp have a wonderful history as judges of a footballer. #-o #-o #-o

Make a team out of the players those two have let go and you could challenge the Dragons for the longest sequence of premierships in a row.

Thats the difference between a club following the rules of the salary cap and the teams that dont.

The salary cap was introduced as a measure to stop teams from buying the competition, unfortunately it hasnt worked (IMO), however, at least it has stopped one team from constantly trying to buy the competition. Remember when they bought every player that came on the market? Imagine what Souths would have been, if they could have matched the ridiculous offer made for Phil Blake!

Arthurson will never see the premiership again, unless the rules are changed to accomodate his buying sprees.

They dont deserve anything after what they did to the Bears anyway.

So before anyone can start firing arrows at what Fitzy has done (or Smith for that matter) they are playing by the rules. Fitzgerald has put himself on a pedestal, and in a position where he cannot go back and break the rules. More pity us, as supporters. But, chit happens - and we can be proud that everything our team has achieved and will achievein the future, will never be tainted with suspicion or innuendo.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the Blakes were Manly juniours who spent 5 years at Manly before Phil Blake signed for Warrington in England before signing with Sth Sydney.

So at least look up some facts before sprouting your bulldust!

Riddell and Co are established first graders from other clubs. That's not Einstein material. All it proves is you've found a way around the salary cap.

Do you really want a list of talent that are elsewhere because Smtih and Sharp thought they were no good?

No, I didn't think so. It must be as painful for you guys as it is for us. ;-)

You were disputing how good/bad judges of footballing talent Smith and Sharp were.

I merely pointed out the talent that has henceforth been attracted to the club by Smith and/or Sharp.

The amount of players released has no bearing on it - for instance, Witt might well suit Manly's playing styles and not ours. It doesn't mean that we couldn't see he didn't have talent.

Northshoreeel, are you for real? Manly did nothing to Norths. They shot themselves in the foot. Manly didn't make it rain for a year in Gosford to slow down the completion of North Power. Manly didn't send them bust. Manly didn't undermine the Northern Eagles, especially in the Central Coast with the aim of sending the Eagles bust so that Singleton could pick up the license. It was a marriage that didn't work but don't blame Manly for that. Sorry that the bears were gone but it was superleague and the Norths management that must take responsibility. As Briza has pointed out what you say about the Blakes is dribble as well.

The Eels have bought up big for 2005 and good luck to you. The idea in Mzilis post of a first grade team playing for other clubs was run by the Telegraph last year, around the time that many of you Parra supporters were talking of protests etc at Parra Stadium against the coaching of Smith!

protest?

mate, do you know who was talking about protest? 2 people and an imbocilic radio announcer, those 2 people were handing out leaflets on the day of the apparent protest, more than half those leaflets found themselves in a bin the others were read then put in pockets never to be seen again, oh! I did see a couple of paper aeroplanes fly past me!..so they were useful for one thing atleast.

How quickly you gloss over the unfortunate incidents in your recent histroy eelavation. I have it on good authority that you were burning your jersey in the stands that day. ;-)

All Manly did to Norths was a mercy killing.

Good authority ???   Prepared to substantiate the claim?

Two fans threw jerseys over the fence.... end of story.

Did you all miss the wink? #-o

I can think of better ways to protest ineptitude than to throw $150 over a fence.

Not to mention Hoppa spitting at a cameraman, throwing a sandwich at a fans head, getting into a fight etc etc

We need to thank manly for finding a home for our rejects. We had to let go off those average footballers to make way for our future superstars. Keeping Witt etc would only stop the progress of Parra developing players with greater ability

PJ may play a little five-eigth, but surely not that much.

Will Blake Green be in JS or PL this year?

John Morris. Witt isn't a five eighth by the stretch of anyones imagination and really struggled there last year. When he and Thorman were switched they played much better......

Green is likely to play Premier League depending on what position they want him in...
