Unfortunately for us long suffering supporters, the excuses for season 2019 started before it started. Key players out, injuries etc.

The mask thats trying to be pulled over our eyes is sickening and there for all to see in every presser.

But its the players missing excuse that really gets me riled up. It's like no other team has this only in Dragons land.

Besides the Storm (as far as I remember), the Roosters (2nd), Rabbits (3rd), Raiders (4th) and Manly (6th) have had long term player injuries in 2019. Knights and Sharks have also had players out.

But we are the only one's right?

McGregor doesn't believe we have a 30 man squad, and now 36 with the DS players available. He will continuously select HIS favourites, whether in form or not.

Survival is his only true ability, coaching is a hobby.

We may jag a win or 2 for the remainder of 2019, but this will also come with the ultimate betrayal to us fans that "we are building for 2020", so don't forget to to sign up your memberships.

I just hope the recent media scrutiny, albeit small, gains some traction, then and only then, will we see any comment from the club.

Its been deafening how silent BJ has been since McGregors extention.

I wonder why?

Mate your missing the point here, doesn't matter he can't coach, I keep hearing he is a good bloke....If it's good enough for the board it should be good enough for us us , yea ?

The issue we have the season never started. The same will be for the next 2 years if we keep McGregor there. The worst part of it is that we sucked in with the odd win as we do have quality team minus a quality fullback.
I have never been so dissapointed with my club as it is getting to a stage i dont want to even watch them play because the players have to put up with crapy selections gameplans and bech rotation.
We are all looking at this wrong Mary is a great coach finding positives out of a loss, having no game plan,no accountability, cut and paste press conferences brilliant.Just what a proud club like ours needs.Bring on Hornby Young and co

PAUL after we finish this season.
"Yeah look it was a tough year with Jack being sanctioned and then our club captain and playmaker being out for most of the season. Add to that multiple injuries to key players we never really got going in 2019.
We are really positive about 2020 though and feel that we have the right balance to challenge for a top 8 finish"
Mate have you been writing his post match comments.....youve got it down to perfection

When your only hope is that McDonald will come back to kogarah without a warrant for his arrest and extradition back to Queensland, things are mighty hard.

The saints forwards are considered by the rest of us as a meek and cowardly lot.

They frighten opposition mascots, gear stewards, ball boys and the odd psychotic cheerleader but that’s about it.

Sorry Mary, the dream is over.

"Meek and cowardly" huh? I'm also disappointed of where we're sitting on the table at the moment but to call the players meek and cowardly is wrong. I couldn't play the game at that level and I wonder if you did. Bit harsh mate.

Direct your venom at the club hierarchy. Get it right at management level in any organisation and that offers the best opportunity for success. Sadly we're a club in decline and that hurts like hell.

That’s how I’m feeling. From starting with a fair degree of positivity and enthusiasm to becoming mostly disinterested. Im already not looking forward to the rest of the season. It’s just not the results, it’s the media, the commentary, recruitments, one sided officiating, I can’t see my enthusiasm for the NRL gaining momentum any time soon.

The last example being the commentary on the weekend. When Nicholls was hit with a blatant shoulder charge fatty when on and on about how could it possibly be a penalty, then minutes later the a Host penalty and nothing said from anyone except how “Melbourne always find a way to win” [due to them being such a professional outfit]. Nothing about how it was a cruel way for dragons to lose.
Agree with your comments re commentators and NRL but Dragons lost that game themselves by not taking advantage of actually winning the middle...surprise surprise and not willing to chance their arm after leilua made a great offload then Host kicked the ball when he should not of after about 10-15 mins.
I even remember Mik picking up a loose ball near oiur try line in the 2nd half if only he looked to his right there was an unmarked man as he nearly got in the clear himself
