My plan today was to watch the tape at normal speed and ff through the downtime. I lasted about half an hour and then held on until ht.

Yeah, Gus and his mates are excruciating with their blokey banter but it did remind me just how good Jo E is when he talks footy. His analysis is top drawer when he's not trying to be funny.

Steve Crawley used to be the Head of Sport on 9, so no surprise that since he became the Head of Television on FoxSports at the start of the 2016 season the overall quality of the channel dwindeld. The pandemic only excacerbated things since the commentary had to make up for the lack of atmosphere and the sub-par quality of games.

So essentially you're getting the exact same coverage including useless close-ups of players not involved in the game or distracting replays.

I wish they'd use the wide shot at the PTB like in SL more, it helps fans see where the play makers are lining up and how far offside the defence is.

The NRL probably request they don’t use it for that reason.
I hate going to games live because the consistent offsides etc just piss me off and trigger my Spectrum and then the wife gets annoyed that I won’t let it go about ehy have rules that aren’t enforced blatantly
