haha, have a look at the result from rnd 23 last year, then the result from the semi's....see a pattern knobhead? Looking forwards to their capitulation again this year.

Blockheads usually mean no or little thinking ability. Most blockheads are smart enough to stay silent.

This years GF winner , like most years will need to make the Finals with the bulk of their squad and with minimal injuries. So as a Souths fans there are still three games to go and i will be very happy and confident when Souths finish round 26 with the current squad and NO NEW injury concerns.

For Blockheads who make comments like above . Either being a troll or just ignorant , last year Inglis for starters was injured during the last Origin game and was not 100% going into the finals . He was extremely subdued. Same with Sutton and our winger where Manly sent traffic with success. This is the only pattern to avoid from last year and at this stage NOT there. You as a dope can wish it on us but do not know how you can SEE IT .

Personally I think Manly were foxing. DCE and Foran hardly touched the ball.
Will be a very different game if they meet during the finals series

Manlys season is eerily similar to 08. Slow start, boom to the top, coast and grind to the finals. Then they became untouchable.

A few rounds out from the semis, Manly lost 13-12 to Melb, Stewart Lyon Orford all played but were not involved. They only threw forwards at Storm. Nek Minnit 40-0.

Well looks like one forward will be out.

Another chicken wing from the Rabbits. Old mate T'eo this time.

Looks like Maguire really is a disciple of Bellamy's coaching methods.

If he's out that will hurt them. He has been pretty damaging of late.

Souths are looking good right now and deserve title favoritism, but I'd warn Souths fans to not count your chickens before they hatch.

Considering the fact that Broncos are hardly the team to beat and vidot gifting a 12 point differential all on his lonesome, last nights performance is hardly anything to write home about.

Manly just had their hangover/complacent game a week later than everyone expected. Everyone thought Brisbane would be the danger game after the short turnaround after the warriors game + opening a 4 point buffer on the table, but it turns out it was the week later against souths where they were off.

Their attitude and execution were well short on their usual standards, and admittedly Souths contributed a lot to that with their enthusiasm in defence, but come finals time, Manly will be a different team....

It really is the same every year on LU. You'd think the Souths fans would have learned by now. Just keep your optimism low key till you win it and you avoid well-deserved ridicule.

History says they will fall short again, but the streak can't go on forever. Until it stops the smart fans are refraining from crowing about a grand final in August.

Any more Suspensions may hurt come Finals time however the current suspensions should have minimal impact and
For Souths actually some blessing in disguise.

Souths are now certain for the finals , need just one more win to lock up a top 4 place and two wins for a definite top 2.

We have George Burgess on a two week suspension which cottonwools him until round 25.He has not been at his damaging best since his recent return from ankle injury , so two weeks enforced rest may support to get his ankle to 100%.Cannot hurt him and we did not miss him against Broncos.

Teo's suspension appears a bit tough , did not appear to be much in his tackle , his grip on the arm was relatively short. If the NRL is consistent going forward , no problems , though i would not be surprised if Souths challenge the grading , from 2 to 1.IF not challenged , he will be completely fresh for finals.

big hit!

forget about peaking too soon or the issues over the last couple of years.

souths have lost the last two premierships when the other contenders have muscled up to them in the middle. When this happened, they had no other options with their #2-7 clearly inferior to the likes of Manly, Easts, Melbourne in these seasons.

souths have improved in these areas they were extremely weak in '12 & '13. They've got guys now in the backline who can pressure their opposite number. Goodwin, Merritt & Farrell just weren't capable of this.

I fully expect the Souths pack to be tested again in this final series. It then comes down to Luke, Reynolds and Keary having the discipline to maintain the structure, and the backline being able to compete with those of the likes of the teams mentioned above.

What is this f**king garbage about Souths fans getting ahead of themselves? Link to one Souths fan posting seriously about us winning the gf.

But I am talking about this year
And we're a significantly better team now. Look at some of the plods we had in the backline then. Keary/Walker/Johnston/Auvaa/Turner have all made our attack much more dynamic. We're scoring more AND conceding less than 2013.

Souffs fans believing their own hype and talking shit

Is it that time of year again?

there's nothing worse than a toothless Souffs fan getting excited about their team, all fans get excited but these halfwits think it's a foregone conclusion

Anything can happen in the next 3 weeks it is a tough competition. For Souths and other teams high up on the ladder it is about staying injury free and improving on things.

Not too concerned about Te'o being out his defence is great but his attack is poor. We still have Sutton back in 2 weeks to play in the back row. McQueen and Turner are very solid too.
