He means we drew York in the tie. It ended up 50-12. Half-a dozen or so tries in the first half hour effectively ended the game.

GIANTS V YORK STATS

Huddersfield Giants v York City Knights

York's last victory over Huddersfield was back in 194 [a typo, should be 1984 or maybe 1994.] when they had a 42-12 Boxing Day home win ipossibly n the old Second Division. They lost the return match 34-7 and since then they have met only once, Huddersfield winning 50-12 at home in a sixth round Challenge Cup-tie in 2004. York's only Challenge Cup defeat of Huddersfield was in 1931 when they went on to their only Cup final appearance, losing to Halifax. And Huddersfield's last Cup final appearance was via a first round win at York in 1962.They lost to Wakefield Trinity in the final.

Previous RL Challenge Cup meetings

1904-05 (1) Huddersfield 5 York 0
1930-31 (2) York 13 Huddersfield 2
1935-36 (2) Huddersfield 8 York 2
1961-62 (1) York 7 Huddersfield 8
2004 (6) Huddersfield 50 York 12

Cheers St J.

St Helens looked very good in their match, you'd have to admit. Dominant forwards, decent enough direction and kicking game in the halves, a bit of class in the backline. Bradford couldn't get into the game at all.

Widnes had half a team out with injuries and cup-tied players so were outclassed. Not much of a contest, but it was great fun to see Barry Mac still fighting fit.

It was a good opportunity for Widnes to play 3 under 18's so they will have got something positive out of how they performed.

Loved the bit where Ashley Klein tells off Bazza... "You've been around long enough to know that's not on."

St Helens v Catalans today (Saturday) 3pm
Hull KR v Warrington Sunday 2pm - live BBC2
Huddersfield v Salford Sunday 3pm
Leeds v Harlequins Sunday 4pm - live BBC2

Seems like St Helens v Catalans got bumped from TV for the Engalnd v Jamaica friendly and Derby Day coverage. Double dose Sunday afternoon instead.
