Thanks. I saw the list and found Morris and Prince at the bottom with 300 games apiece and thought "Well who's on 299!".It's Jarrod Croker!

It's Jarrod Croker!
Is that Country representitive superstar Jarrod Croker?
Seems the number is growing quicker and quicker now. What do people think the reason for this is? For me the three biggest factors are:
1. Improved conditioning of players prolonging careers
2. Increased salary cap resulting in less players going to England to finish their career. Nowadays players only go there if they aren’t wanted in the NRL whereas 15 years back it was almost everyone.
3. Under 20s replacing reserve grade for a period, meaning younger players were debuting regularly.
Back in the old days, players used to supplement their fitness by becoming garbos, chasing the garbage truck with metal bins full of rubbish.Improved conditioning of players plus full time professionalism.
Considering players turning 30 now don’t automatically look to England compared to 15 years ago helps. The only time players go to England is if they want to play there or if they have to in order to get a contract. It’s not the retirement top up it used to be.Improved conditioning of players plus full time professionalism.
If you play 25 games per year you'll hit 300 games after 12 years.
Feels like just yesterday he missed that penalty goal against the Tigers in the finals. A cruel 50/50 shot that could have ended his career but the hurtin in the sheds after the game made him the legend that will play 300.BYC reaching 300. I feel old, but I'm younger than the BYC!!
Simon ManneringWell done mum. Ending John Morris’ reign as the most mediocre player to reach 300 games.
I forgot about Tolman. He scored against us in his 300th game aswell. The NRL would have had every right to fold the club after that.Simon Mannering
Mitch Aubusson
Chris Heighington
Aidan Tolman
still plenty off plod there.
Correct, even Menzies spent some time there after leaving Manly. Could foreseeably have hung around another season or two had that not been the case. Would have had him 3rd o the list (maybe second) well clear of Lockyer.20 years ago the salaries in the UK were higher, now its the opposite.
