Korn fans are funny, how many times are we gonna hear the word 'heavy" or "tuning"?

Every time i talk to a korn fan the convos always consist of those words and usually ends with something too do with the guitarists and their "seven string guitars".

Funny thing is most Korn fans hate rap even though the shit they listen too was influenced by it and even has some in their songs.

Beatles all the way.

Haha. no contest. Beatles win.

I don't understand how anyone over 14 can love Korn. It's pure teen-angst nu-metal garbage. Sure it may have influenced many people who have gone on to listen to BETTER metal, but it should be left in the past. Korn will be dead soon, their cds don't sell anymore and that's what nu-metal is all about: the buck.

Also, what's the go with saying Korn have great musicianship? I don't see any of it. I have their first 2 albums. It's just de-tuned 7 string crap riffs with a solo no where in sight.

OMG!!!1!111111!1111 K0Rn r l1k3 teh r0x0r!!11!1!1!! LOL ROLFMLAO!!!1!11111!!1

if korn started nu metal then they should kill themselves (like what they sing about in there crap songs). nu metal is gayer than nelly! sure the beatles sang simple lyrics but korn sang mind numbing lyrics, some lyrics werent even proper words! like that bit of jibberish in freak on a leash! then they sing about how singles are shit yet nu metal is a pop version of heavy metal LOL! korn are a deadset JOKE!

the only joke is the amount of people that has such hatred for a band calling them gay etc. i doubt anyone here acually knows the band members personally so its just stupid to say stuff like that..its quite simple really, if you dont like the music, dont listen to it, instead of calling the band and fans shit heads etc #-o last time i checked i wasnt a shit head

I challenge you to find where I have ONCE called them androtops!

I don't like KoRn, I don't respect KoRN, but I however do admit they have sold alot of albums.

However, so has Delta Goodram, so it just goes to show that crap sells to morons!

well i have actually seen head and munky jam with steve vai. The sound you hear in korn songs is just korn's sound. If you actually believe that that is the absolute extent the 2 korn guitarists can go then you do not have a f**king clue! When they jammed with vai it was a totally different sound and was awesome. When they went backwards and forwards with solos the 2 korn guitarists were just as good.

I know a lot of you older metal fans are also fans of steve vai. He has admitted to liking korns sound because he knows talent when he see's it..

It is just funny that you think korns talent only extends to what you hear on their albums.

You all have no idea.

But you make the same mistake concerning The Beatles, CH.

The various solo albums and the work Paul McCartney did with the London Symphony Orcestra also prove that they are also more than the record!

Millions of artists have been inspired and influenced by The Beatles, at the moment though, you couldn't say that about KoRn. Most bands who say they are 'influenced' by KoRn are really just rip-offs copying their style.

Are you suggesting they are a teeny bopper group?

I doubt wether 14 and 15 year olds would have heard of korn as they are never on rage or video hits.

They have been around longer than 10 years which is 10 times longer than your average bopper group.

In their day, the beatles were the biggest bopper group ever! That is the lamest argument ever..

But really.. What bands have ever surpassed anything the beatles ever did?

very few. This comparison is just a korn bashing thread..

Fact is, you could put any metal band up against the beatles and none would even come close to what the beatles achieved.

Metallica might come close.... But thats being generous.

Why not have a Beatles vs Elvis thread.

Beatles vs Korn is stupid.

I couldn't agree more, CH.

The topic was too general, really.

I must admit I have bashed KoRn as well, it really wasn't a fair fight!

The nu-metal market targets teenagers you fool!
You seriously can’t tell me that Korn or Slipknot or System Of a down doesn’t get enough air play.
Who have they influenced in the past years? Limp Bizkit ? Slipknot? Linkin Park? Godsmack? Like that’s a prestigious list.
Korn a co are 30 year old men whining about their mummies and daddies.
Mallcores old and stale and Road Runner will again flick their nu-metal bands off with whatever the new trend in rock music just like what they did with Death Metal and just like what they did with Thrash Metal.

Ok, so the metal you listen never targetted teenagers in its day? The beatles never targetted teenagers? The fact is, teenagers are the ones who buy new music, not 30, 40 and 50 year olds as they are usually listening to the music of their era.

Theres a difference between targeting an audience and being a teeny bopper group.

Korn have been around for a decade, much longer than any bopper singer or group out there.

I couldnt care less who they have influenced. And i dont know why you keep throwing up roadrunner records.. Korn dont have anything to do with them. They use their own record label. Most of the bands you have listened to are no names who also havnt influenced anyone.

"I doubt wether 14 and 15 year olds would have heard of korn as they are never on rage or video hits. " Yeah, but wether they are or arent on video hits or rage doesnt mean much.
The majority of Korn and nu-metal fans are in their early teens, there on radio stations and get plugged on music magazines that are available to the majority of that target audience.Their easy to promote and you know very well thats true.
I dont think I labeled anyone a booper, those are your words.
My Road-Runner rant was just sinking my boot into nu-metal's arse :p

I have never heard korn on the radio..

And please provide proof that all korn and nu metal fans are early teens.. Pretty strange they can sell out over 18 concerts here in 20,000 capacity facilities. But i guess they all forged their age

Hardly anyone under 15 would have heard of korn. That isnt their target audience. Their target audience out there now is their current batch of fans.

You surely did imply korn fans were boppers by using a sarcastic use of spelling.

Ive seen more metallica songs on those shows.

I have, ive also seen them on chart video shows and seen them on hits magazine and rolling stone

Did I say all fans? No, but the majority that wear nu metal shirts buy nu metal albulms and post on nu metal boards defending the flavour of the month are in the 14-15-16-17 year old age bracket. How many 30 years olds turned up to those Korn concerts? wouldnt be alot
"Pretty strange they can sell out over 18 concerts here in 20,000 capacity facilities. But i guess they all forged their age"
Im sure Justin Timberlake would sell out a 18+ venue.
Does it honestly come as a suprise? Theyre one of the biggest rock bands around for crying out loud! I know plenty of adults who enjoy Korn but I know more teenagers who enjoy them.
"You surely did imply korn fans were boppers by using a sarcastic use of spelling. "
OMFG teh K0rn R teh shet! Like i said - look at Korns message boards

yes i can admit that korn have done well for themselves, nu metal is shit, but they have made a lot of money from it and seem to be well liked. But comparing them to the beatles is just utter crap.
