Absolutely but im certain they would feel obligated to when they have a whole country hyped up to suppprt them . What is cash straped sides like Storm , Roosters and Dogs motivation to bother with a quality side ?

The lack of video ref is only acceptable because the games don't matter.

The commentators are certainly being pretty generous towards the refs, who in turn are being pretty generous towards the players. I get the feeling all the players will get a participation certificate at the end, just so nobody misses out. It's so warm and fuzzy.

It's a potential problem for the future. Year 1 was always going to be exciting and new, but will the excitement be there in the future if teams continue to send sub standard teams?
