He's terrible. Bring up Joseph Manu and play him on the wing for some first grade experience. He couldn't be worse than Burgess.

I dare say once SKD is fit, Burgess will be out of first grade. His handling last night was abominal.

Problem is he's the only speed we have in our entire backline.

Fergo's only quick when he runs out of the line, Toops couldn't run out of sight down a dark alley, Maubs is getting slower by the week and that leaves us with lopping Latrell. Hell even SKD is not that fast.

I thought having one of the biggest backlines would be beneficial, but we lack speed and it shows.

Chook.

Joe had handling problems at Wigan at the beginning of last season, but overcame them.

Joe will have to practice taking lots of high kicks at training and start to get them right.

Joe is the fastest member of the Roosters three quarter line, by far.

Joe Burgess should be back during later Origins. If he is given the ball with an open field nobody will catch him.

He is also a good defender who chases down opponents who have made a line break and racing 80 metres towards our try line.

Souths were rumoured to be chasing Kallum watkins during the off season so i looked up his highlights. What a player he is in his highlight reel, stepping, off loading, breaking tackles, good pass, fast. Has a great highlights reel. After that youtube reccomended ryan halls highlight reel, what a player, steam rolls guys, hard to contain once he has momentum, good on the high ball surprising speed for a big bloke. Charnleys highlight reel was next, explosive player, great footwork, can create something out of nothing, surprisingly good at breaking tackles for his size. Then J. Burgess highlights came next. What a huge letdown after the first 3. All his tries were exactly the same. Good inside work from other players puts him on the outside of his opposite winger were he uses his speed to beat them. No steps, no tackle breaks, no tries of the high ball, he is literally a one trick pony who requires the work of others to make him look good

That comment is complete garbage. You obviously never saw Joe Burgess play before this year.

I couldn't care less what he did before the NRL. The Super League is an inferior league and whatever "skill set" Joe possesses clearly doesn't translate to the NRL. The end of his contract can't come soon enough.

Well Joe has not been named in first grade this week.

Joe has not been named in the Wyong Roos either for this week, which indicates that he is injured. He would have definitely been on the wing for the Roos if he had been dropped from the Roosters and fit to play.

Wyong Roos:

1. Omar Slaimankhel

2. Chris Centrone 3. Brendan Elliott 4. Domenic Reardon 5. Matt Ikuvalu

6. Jackson Hastings
7. Tyler Cornish

8. Paki Afu 9. Mitch Williams 10. Abraham Papalii
11. Chris Smith 12. Mitch Frei
13. Zane Tetevano

Interchange: 14. Brock Molan 15. Vincent Leuluai 16. Jake Lewis 17. Joey Lussick 18. Justin Toomey-white 20. Carney Doyle-Manga

Pity Joe didn't get a few more runs. He is miles faster than the Giraffe, Daniel Tupou. Joe's speed could have made a difference in some of the close games where Tupou could not escape the opposition defences.

I hope that he will still be given a couple of games to show whether the Roosters should be keeping an eye on him and be interested in re-signing him when his Wigan contract expires -- i.e. at the end of 2019.
