Every one is calling for Kris Keating to replace Robson next year. I think Kris Keating should replace Kevin Kingston. I think a nice Keating Pie would be far more nourishing than a Kingston Biscuit. Kingston biscuits crumble under pressure and you get sick of the taste of them, whereas a Keating Pie is good anytime.

I agree Lingard, the present winning team structure and overall balance is such that bar injuries, Kris Keating won't even get a look in next year at 7 or 6. He will either come off the bench or play for Wenty.

The Eels will have too many Mick Cronin like off-loading ball-players all over the park.... Tahu, Inu, Mateo, Fuifui, Mannah, Reddy, running wide forwards Shackleton, Hindmarsh, Ben Smith (he will be very explosive next year as will Joel Reddy) etc, that the team can continue to use the strong defensive unit it has in the halves as brilliant defensive sweepers and continue being part of the frontline brick-wall defence when required as well (exactly how Jeff Robson & Daniel Mortimer have been playing these past 6 weeks or so).

In fast attacking raids Jarryd Hayne already plays like a 6 so DA will let Jarryd time in when he feels it and Jeff & Daniel just revert to what they have already been doing these past 6 weeks.

With an even stronger evolving defensive brick-wall structure (Tahu, Shackleton, Poore) Jarryd Hayne can just float anywhere he feels out back making it very very hard for any team to target him and shut him down for 80 minutes. Other teams will have their hands full just trying to shut down Tahu, Inu, Mateo, Fuifui, Reddy (he will get even better next year), Grothe, and all the second-phase play coming off Cayless, Hindmarsh, Shackleton, Mannah, Lowrie (if he gets resigned - a big mistake to let him go) etc.

And then there is the unknown phenomenon of Filiga coming through (just imagine him blossoming under the wings of Tahu, Hindmarsh, Cayless, Inu, DA & PO ---- WOW WOW WOW).

Jarryd will just continue doing what he has been doing these past 6 weeks but even better because of the gelling of the team and just pop up to do what he is great at, an Ad-Lib strike player. What a nightmare he represents to all other coaches in the NRL.

It seems that Jeff Robson, Daniel Mortimer, Luke Burt, Kris Keating, Matthew Keating, Jarryd Hayne, Joel Reddy, Eric Grothe and others will run off Tahu, Inu, Cayless, Fuifui, Hindmarsh, Smith, Shackleton, Poore etc as strike players running through holes.

[Oh, and apologies, I watched the Eels v West Tigers game again last night and Reddy did not play as well as I stated he did in another post in another string yesterday. He made a few defensive stuff ups leading to tries.]
