The wighton no try i didnt like it but hodgson was offside. I understand he cant vanish but i think its safer that the rule be black and white than leave it to the whims of the mental case in the bunker.

The Boyd no try was an absolute shocker. I can only speculate that klein thought it went up as no try based on what he said.

Fair enough, so why not bring it back for the Tigers knock on? Why the penalty? Surely we got no benefit from the Tigers knock on that Klein said he saw?

It's simple - get rid of the video ref.
We possibly get slightly fewer mistakes than we did pre-video, but plenty of the refs are now scared to make a decision n obvious calls, and there are still plenty of mistakes and/or blatantly wrong decisions.f

The worst thing about it is that if a ref has one look at full speed and gets it wrong then it's understandable, but we now have a system with cameras at almost every angle and there are still some egregious f*ck ups where everyone but the bunker can clearly see the decision is wrong.

Just take it away and make us all happier.

Yeah i think that's a very good point, the first infringement was the knock on, the obstruction means clearly we gained no advantage from the the knock on... should have been a scrum to us...

but meh, Ricky's got it covered. We good

No

The correct answer is to get it right.

It should not be this hard.

Excellent point! For ground refs to err, as much as we dislike it, is understandable - but for the video ref to stuff-up - that is unforgivable & frustrating.

Do you realize that most of us arm chair critics are more qualified at making video ref calls

Than ex referees or ex players

Who have not watch as many RL games under replay and super slow motion as us
