The raiders are their own worst enemy when it comes to attracting fans. When the raiders were in their prime they would often send players out to the regional areas ie Bradiwood, Bungendore, Cooma, Crookwell ect to run school clinics, attend presentation nights or to attend gala days. When i was a young bloke i had Stuart and Daley come out and run a clinic at least once a year. Know if you approach the raiders to come out and visit your junior club they may send a premier league player and a development coach but more often than not they will just send a bag of stickers and posters to hand out. It is bloody stupid. The Brumbies send out Gregan and Larkham out to these areas all the time and people wonder why the Brumbies have such a good supporter base especially when it comes to young people going to thier games. The raiders have to start recognising their local teams and surrounding areas otherwise they can kiss them all goodbye.
