Why the distinction? Brett Kenny brought a smile to many people's faces for many years, just ad did Fred Hollows. How they did their respective deeds doesn't really matter.

I will always have a huge amount of respect and love for blokes like Mick Cronin, Peter Sterling, Brett Kenny, Eric Grothe Snr, Steve Ella, etc because they made my dad fall in love with the club and sport, and he then passed that love onto me. I adore this club (and the sport, too) and it is something we shared. And all because of blokes like Brett Kenny. How can you put a price on that?

Mate, no one is disputing his legendary status as a footballer.
Some question his views and comments.
Lets draw a line here, shall we?

Well I guess the same would apply to people like Di Magio, Bradman, Jordan, Borg and Pele???..just ex sportsman???

No. They are great ex sportsmen. That's why they are known as greats of their game. Revered by those who follow their sports.

I think the word "legend" is used too freely, especially when it comes to sportsmen. There is one exception... Stephen Rodger Waugh. ;-)
