Didn't get defensive just stated my own opinion.

Stevenson was a good Frank but he was never going to get another shot.

Captain America Civil War looks interesting....

Looking at the cast it just looks like another Avengers movie.

Except you replace Hulk & Thor with Spider-Man.

They are in real danger of losing the plot here, especially after delivering that mess in Avengers 2. Sometimes less is more and I don't think the Marvel movies get that, they need to start telling stories rather than set up more and more characters.

Social justice warriors are upset that Sony's version of Peter Parker must be Caucasian and heterosexual.

Apparently every comic book character must be rebooted as anything other than a straight white guy now.

Well then the SJW's can just go and make their own f**king movies then.
That way they can get what they want and stop complaining.

But I guess they will then complain that no one is going to see their shitty movies.

First reviews are coming out, and looks like Marvel has another slam dunk, home run, hole in one with Ant Man

Wouldn't judge it on early reviews, Marvel movies seem to go crazy early on.
In fact it's imdb rating of 8.2 is actually lower than I expected.

Could be wrong of course!

I'd say reviews are mixed so far, it's only 71% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Dumeresq St Cinemas is a hole.
Poor sound. Uncomfortable seats. The last time I went there (admittedly quite a while ago now) someone left the lights on when the movie was playing. No wonder it costs so little.

I was really looking forward to Ant-Man when Edgar Wright was still the director. I will still go and see it, but I'm not expecting anything special like I was.
Seems a shame when Marvel keeps screwing over talented writer-directors (Wright; Favreau; Patty Jenkins; Alan Taylor) in order to have every movie look and feel the same.

I have been there heaps of times and they have never kept the light on when I've been there, and the sound has been fine when I've been. The seats are a little hard though. Half the time when I go to the cinemas, I go to Event cinemas at Macarthur Square.
