Pearce's did not involve bestiality at all.

If you mimic stabbing someone are you charged with attempted murder???

I thought me calling Norman a drug lord was making it obvious that I was massively exaggerating the hell out of all this.

Is it coincidence that this front page shite always seems to happen on the eve of a big positive NRL event?

Corey Norman really shouldn't be re-signed. Parramatta would be better off going through some short term pain and do a proper rebuild around strong characters not a 25 year old who acts like he is 18. Sure a sex tape isn't a big deal, but it is just another example of his immaturity and then factoring in the drugs, hanging out with idiots... This guy is the same age as Wade Graham, Boyd Cordner, Josh Jackson and Aaron Wood who are all being talked about as future leaders of their state. I get it from a footballing perspective but Parramatta really need to draw a line in the sand and do a total rebuild around some real leaders. Let the Dragons pay huge money for this clown.

I was cut up when the Sharks had to let Carney go but letting him walk and adding in older calmer heads like Ennis(and eventually Maloney who is of a similar age) has put us in a much better position. Re-signing Norman, letting Semi play after coming back late are adding to the culture issues. Even bringing back Hayne despite leaving on good terms shows Parra can be walked over.

All the best Parra fans. I know the feeling... I did not think things could get worse after 2009-2011 then ASADA hit us in 2013 when we had our "Dream squad" and we got the spoon the next year. Adding in leaders off the field(Ennis, Lewis, Maloney over the years) really changed our clubs culture, while helping some youngsters grow up(Fifita, Bird, Holmes even Barba).

They aren't the same issues.
Pearce's involved beastiality and disrespect of women, Corey is just a drug lord.
This ends it, unless he appeals which I would advise him to do. Why the conviction? He is 25 and a clean skin.
Why would he appeal? He pleaded guilty ffs...

He can appeal the conviction Bazal its called a severity appeal. Many (actually most) of these small first time drug possession charges are dealt with "no conviction recorded".
I'd advise him to appeal and leave it up to him.

Carney had already been sacked by 2 other clubs and he was not as good a player as Norman. Norman is the best half or 5/8 Parra has had in 30 years. We ought to make him captain.

It'll be up to the NRL and Parramatta on what sort of punishment will be given to Corey. Fine, suspension, whatever. Not sure if Parra are going to sack him, he might do the same thing at St George who knows. Parra sense he's the key play maker with Foran gone, but they'll have to pull him aside and tell him he's at Parra as a senior player and needs to set the younger guys a good example. Another strike and you're out. But its up to the Parramatta management, whoever that will be, hope its someone good.

And if he wants an upgrade on his contract which Parra cant afford, so be it, he'll go to another club.

At the moment Beau Scott is the on field captain and its likely he'll be captain till he retires. He's been great for us since he came here and Im glad they've made him captain with Foran gone. Leads by example. I hope we get more players like him to lead by example to change the culture.

Yeah this whole thing reminds me of Cronulla during that period. Off field dramas non stop, ASADA, coach suspended, players suspended, players sacked, interim coach steps down, CEO after CEO. It was a total mess like at Parra is now. But Flanagan went through that whole period and is still there today.

They knew he was the best coach for them, and after his suspension he returned to revive the team and get them back to that winning culture.

Although at the moment off field stuff hasn't effect Parra much on the field, but as long as Arthur is still at the club when this whole off field stuff is resolved.

No shit, they call a guy who did heroin with a teenage girl and sat there and watched her die 'God'.

eh.. honestly there may be a double standard but it just re-enforces that NRL players are public figures and AFL players are children that need to be protected. Sure, stories like this about Norman hurt the NRL but I don't think the AFL are winning points here...
