I say cop. Had plenty of opportunity to rat him to the gang, all standing there armed and pissed. Instead, did the whole confrontation thing. Then dies.

From what I remember he was telling him to think about why he didn't dob him in, I took that to mean he was trying to tell him he was a cop. Or it's intentionally ambiguous...

Agree with Godz Illa..... "The Departed", "Walk The Line" and "Lord Of War" are my 3 favourite movies of the year! Scorcese is back baby!

Werent both Walk The Line & Lord Of War released last year ? *Shrugs*

The Departed is a brilliant movie tho, quite possibly the best of the year.
