True. They are a Friday night ratings arse kicker. The fact they can get 40-50000 at a game and still own the time slot means you are bang on with your comment about them getting what they want. I want the next NRL franchise in Brisbane to put an end to it.

This is the thing that worries me about the NRL being in charge. Their interests may not align with the clubs best interests, and they have shown themselves incapable of resisting the influence of certain clubs and media players.

If the NRL aren't tipping in money, they don't deserve a say.

Well technically St George-Illawarra is a new venture, so yes, they've won one comp.

The St George Dragons won a fair few but they don't exist anymore.

I don't get why people get so petty about denying teams like the Dragons and their Tigers their combined heritage. If we became the Hunter Knights or some crap, we'd want to remember our premierships too.

I'm not denying them anything (and we'd consider them our premierships if we became a joint venture), just pointing out why there's the conjecture by some people (I.e. baron). Technically it's a new club.

I don't see it that way because the Dragons totally smothered Illawarra out of having any kind if identity in the joint venture anyway. I think most people still see them as St George.
