your also got a hand it to the "chook pen"

they're the only ones carry their own Latte maker, have their own Tofu bar and hang their own disco ball above them at night games. :p
You forgot the Wheatgrass juice extractor!!!

Souths do average 712 more people to their home ground games .....

..... against the Cowboys.

As the Cowboys would bring in the same number of away supporters and neutrals to the crowd for both the Roosters and Souths, I think you could use crowd numbers for when teams are hosting games against the Cowboys as a way to compare support for teams ..... maybe?

if so, at the moment the stats favor Souths over the Roosters.

Cowboys numbers swelled towards the end of the year though don't know if that did have any effect? When did South play them and when did the Roosters?
Off the subject a little bit I thought that hardcore bunch of Cowboys supporters that were at the last few rounds and the semis were good value.. Noisy buggers and looked like they were having a hell of a time.. Something we hadn't seen down here before from the Cowboys.. Good on em I say...

neither Souths (round 10) or the Roosters (round 17) played their home games against the Cowboys at their home grounds in 2004. They both moved those games to the Central Coast so i didn't include those crowd into the averages :)

on the off the subject: those would quite probably of been the imfamous Southern Stampede - great supporters  (in the semis their numbers were boosted by us northerners traveling down but the Stampede are the one's you'll see in Sydney at the away games).

Prob should start another thread for this but who cares this one has run is course...
There was people driving down from Townsville even for the match against us (our worst game of the year!! But hats off to you).
When I left Cambo to drive home there was a bloke in a Hi Lux ute in front with QLD plates with a tourno on the back, townsville bumper stickers and his swag thrown in!! We pulled up along side him and asked him if he'd just driven down for the game. He said he'd been planning to come down to visit friends "one day" and just decided on the tues to head on down, he was driving back on Monday!! At least it was worth his while DAMN IT!!
My girl's from Townsville and I've been telling folks for years how mad for it you lot are. Good to see you guys get all that exposure and get the Broncs off the back page of the courier mail!! About time!

Souths do have a very large supporter base, i wish they would get to more games but with their poor form for the past like 15 years its really hard to do so .. we will be back dont think we wont
