How good is that start. 3 games against non top 8 sides then two tough ones is a sure way to see if we are going to have any sort of chance next season.

Hopefully it will give the team some time to settle before the bigger games however don't underestimate the Tigers or Sharks for next year. IMO they will be tougher games than the Panther game.

This is not a great draw for us. Parramatta tends to start badly then drop games from rounds 4-10 without a fight then try and catch up. We really need to win 4 of the first five to get the season started.

I would of prefered to have a played the Dogs or the Roosters first up but it wasn't to be.

there is no such thing as an easy game anymore it doesn't exist, therefore I suggest Driver aka Philips keeps his hand off it or he'll certainly go blind ;-)

I think the Sharks will be poo in 2005. I could be wrong, very wrong, but I don't think they'll be challenging for the 8?

So I'd be looking for us to win 3 or 4 out of those five games, to show that we will be challenging for the eight. If we don't... well we've been there in previous seasons and we've talked about what could/should/will happen

It is in interesting start, the Panthers getting a wealth of coverage on FTA Along with the Bulldogs and the Roosters (the Last 3 Premiers)

The Cowboys get 2 FTA games in the first 2 weeks and a Friday Nighter, that is interesting the Tigers also getting 2 Channel 9 games with the Broncos. I guess it pays to Bitch and Moan that you aren't getting FTA coverage, Cowboys I can partially agree with, but I think that Friday crowd might be a little down on numbers or you will hear the Bushies Spark up saying that can't get to the game because the have to drive 8 hours to get to Townsville and can't do that on a Friday.

The Tigers however had 3 shots to make it to the Finals, and dashed each one of them.

Dragons Eels, Rabbits and Knights all on one game each all are heavily supported Sydney sides that will rate well so I can understand 9's call there, especially when 3 of these sides didn’t make the finals and the other was out first week.

as with the nature of the competion and the way the talent has been spread across the board, I'm expecting every club will still be challenging for a spot in the 8 by July of next year.

I reckon five teams next year will be in a position to make position seven and eight with four weeks to go and three of those teams will have been certainties for the eight this year.

I like the start to our season...but anyone believe that the Parra V Broncos game in Rnd 5 isnt the sunday arvo channel 9 game??? Instead they put Rabbitohs V Knights!! WHAT THE?? Broncos Eels clashes are always awesome games... whereas if Joey is playing still in Rnd 5.. the rabbitohs will be slaughtered...great planning Channel 9...

No easy games at all whoever thinks differently is blind. Every game next year will be hard fought. And next year will be tighter than any other year. Every team has improved.

4 of our first 5 games are against teams that beat us in 2004.

Though we did manage to pull a game off both the Sharks and Brisbane. These will be very tough games with a new team...... ;-)

Parra on channel 9 sux when they play Brisbane. You don't get to see the game live unless your prepared to travel by plane. Atleast on foxtel you can watch it live or go to the pub and watch it.

after those 5 games we should have 10 points

You are either the world's greatest optimist or the worlds dumbest person. I think Ill go with B thanks Eddie

I think he's realistic.

Every game we have is winnable, and the Panthers at Parramatta is good for us too.
