1977 semi final between Easts and Parra, Parra won 15-5, SCG.

I was 7 and remember having the time of my life, learned 2 things that day, Price was God and Fairfax was a cat.

Don't remember exactly when, but it would have been East v Balmain at Leichhardt circa 1991. I remember we won the game and my girlfriend was a huge Tigers fan, so I wasn't getting any that night!

I was only a kid but witnessed a horrible abuse of 2 Blue supporters carrying a blue flag around our section. When they came through they were absolutely pelted with XXXX cans. Poor bastards were lucky not to get killed.

Being one of very few blues in that section of the crowd I took care of the retribution on a QLD fan who ran past doing the same with a QLD flag. Got him a beauty. Show NO fear I say! My old man was a bit worried for my safety at that point.

The thing that annoyed me was QLD were not capable of scoring a try, so when the blues crossed for a try, instead of putting up another blue coloured fireworks they put a maroon one. Tossers!

Blues ran out winners.

First Easts game as an Easts supporter was in 1984 v Manly @ the SCG and a 24-8 win.

It was a Winfield Cup game that was played at Carlaw Park for some reason. I think it was Newcastle v Roosters or something? And it was either 1992 or 1993?? After that, the first Warriors game, v Brisbane in 1995.

That was in 1993 and the Roosters came from 18-4 down to win 22-18 after having a player (Gary Freeman for memory) sent off.
