gotta agree re heighington, probably his worst game for the club for a couple of years.

still he has been in the top 3 players every game this year so ill let him have a week off.

His workload was still quite good, but that`s not good enough from a bloke who is now regarded as one of our forward leaders and a bloke that has put his hand up wanting to be selected to play SOO !
He`ll never take that next step until he shows a bit more toughness and aggression than what he showed today.
Parramatta aren`t even a good pack, the real good packs belt them like they belted us today !

I agree with Vish that Te'o is probably the only player who hits big in defence.

Problem is, he takes the ball up two or three times and then bludges in the centres. He's talented and has potential but at the moment he's soft and we can't carry someone like that in our pack.

His job is to do damage on the fringes, which he does as good if not better than anyone else when given space or a 1 on 1 opportunity. Problem being the lesser talented forwards who should be getting us on a roll on, but they aren`t !
Um, if the other blokes aren't doing their job, why isn't he rolling the sleeves up and helping out? Why is he passing the ball to Hodgo to take a hit-up instead of running it himself?

Bottom line, he has to get more involved in games like that yesterday. It's all well and good to run wide and have that role when the other forwards are laying the platform, but when we're being dominated, he has to involve himself more.

With Fulton, Gibbs and Payten all missing theirs not much defense left in our pack barring Rhino. Farah is being forced to defend for half the pack and Shines has Teo playing on the inside shoulder of the touch judge. I think Parramatta has given every team in the comp the game plan to smash the tigers. Here we go again the second half slide

Yep, we're f**ked I reckon.

That's a few weeks now we've had a bench whose combined weight would be less than 1/2 an Artie Beetson.

Without our absolute top 17, I can't see us getting near too many teams. I think that the Cowboys game was a bad game for us, made our blokes think they're better than they are.

We've been signing backrowers that may be able to be turned into props at a pinch when we should have been signing props who can go to the backrow if needed...

Te'o is a waste of our cap, I've been saying it for a few weeks now and being laughed at for saying so.

7 hard hit ups and 9 hard tackles a game are great stats for a winger or a centre playing 25 mins off the bench, not an alleged promising back rower who's playing 50-60 minutes a game.

He is lazy, when the going gets tough he gets going elsewhere away from the work.

We need props. We need to secure Head for the next 2-3 years and then chase some props, genuine props. We have Payten who is more a back rower than a prop and O'Hara who's lazier than Te'o.

Ever since 2000, this team has only ever had one genuine top quality prop in Skando. The rest have been remodelled back rowers.

Spot on re Te'o
f**k him the money hungry cutie
SBW plays a similar role for the dogs and dominates games in a side full of utter sh*t
Te'o has class all around and makes 5 hitups and 40m a game

people defending Te'o saying he's great on the fringe of the ruck running at smaller guys need to realise we have some pretty big handy backs in Tagive, Lawrence, Collis, Tuiaki, Ryan and even Galea and Halatau if they're ever played out there. We don't need a back rower bludging out there.

We need a pair of back rowers who'll put their heads down and do some f**king dirty work.

We need props. Big bastards whose legs keep pumping, no matter how many players are tackling him.

I feel sorry for the boys, there was just no way we could possibly of stopped Parra yesterday without a forward pack, ANY team would of got beaten by 40 in the circumstences we were in. We gotta look forward to this week and hopefully welcome back some of our forwards, i think you will find they will make all the difference to our performance.

Spot on HT ... Lima and Cashmere
Royce wasn't a fan of cashmere (bad laterally apparently) and Lima is now a premiership winning prop

Bellamy gets something out of players ... they haven't signed superstars by any stretch ... they've probably signed one rep player (crocker) the rest have all got to the level they're at with great coaching. Players like Lima, Blair, Quinn, White, Cross when he was there grow extra legs under Bellamy

Lima was punted for being lazy ... bellamy saw the potential and cultivated it so that he was a mainstay of a side that lost about 8 games in 2 yrs

But then that's what a proper coach does as opposed to a past it, deluded f**kwit

Cashmere bad laterally? Yet we carry the likes of Harrison who is a p1ss poor defender for his size. I like Galloway but he's not the best lateral defender either. Whats the difference here?

Lima is deemed lazy yet everyone could see he hit the line hard and straight. Just needed some fine tuning. But obviously we'd be better off with the likes of Danny Galea to play in the front row.

Why the f**k are we so incompetent?

Yep ... during the WCC we stayed in the same hotel
After the game we went out then went for a drink in the hotel bar
We were mangled and got chatting to the sizzler and he said `bad laterally' and suspect defensively. I'd have cashy back in a heartbeat ... would have been on 1/4 of what o'hara was

Cashmere was asking for SFA to stay. The guy was obviously a decent prop, and a former jnr to boot. Yet Simmons reckoned that he was "bad laterally", and "suspect defensively"? Considering the contract he would have signed, how the hell would such negatives be crucial, even if Simmons was correct? Aren't things like "defence" supposed to be the responsibility of the Defensive Coach? If the Coaching staff will not even consider a good prop, even on peanuts, because he (supposedly) has "defensive weakness" issues, what the hell is the Defensive Coach doing? What is he being paid for? If the staff want every prop to be "fully developed", and in no need of defensive coaching, before they are kept, what is the point of having a "defensive coach"? Why not rely on other clubs, and lower grade coaches, to get them "up to scratch", and save $$$ on the superfluous "Defensive Coach"?
