On the 1967-68 Kangaroo tour while playing theFirst Test in France my leg wasbroken byteammateDennis Manteitcausing me to miss the entire 68 domestic season.I returned tofirst grade with my club in 69 where I stayed til moving to Manlyin 71 where I retired at the end of the73 season.. Irvine missed the whole of the 1968

Who am I?
I started my footy career in the under-7s for Wests in Wollongong. I progressed through the grades at Wests and found myself in the Illawarra and Country under-18 sides in 1979. I am a forward and have played for NSW.

Next clue: I was 16 when I signed a contract over a few beers at Balmain Leagues club. Little did people know that I would break the rules a lot more over the next decade. I played a couple of years with Balmain Police Boys as well as Flegg and Presidents Cup for Balmain.
