I see Beau Ryan paypacket is taking a bit of whack in the media considering the discrepancy between his pay and Yvonne Sampson and Erin Molan. I'm not sure why Ryan is getting paid what he is considering I read only 6 months ago the show was on the verge of being axed.

When the TV company’s female sports stars Erin Molan and Yvonne Sampson fly to footy games you’ll find them in economy class, while their male counterparts such as Andrew Johns, Darren Lockyer, Ray Warren and Phil Gould go business. In fact, all the male on-air commentators fly business while all the females turn right into economy. Then there’s the pay gap, best summed up as enormous.
For a good part of the past four years NRL Footy Show co-host Erin Molan was on a wage of about $100,000 while fellow panellist Beau Ryan’s pay packet hit $800,000. Molan renegotiated a new contract last week.
Molan declined to comment about the pay disparity with the men, but a Channel 9 spokeswoman said: “People are paid whatever the market determines they’re worth.”
The wage discrepancy at Nine comes as increasing scrutiny is placed on the difference in pay between male and female staff at all media outlets.
It is also understood female sports talent have been expected to work for “free” outside their contracted duties.
In the past they have made unpaid appearances on programs such as Friday Night Football and Wide World Of Sports while their male colleagues get paid for the same duties."
