Some publicity on the footy show tonight thanks to the "final winter"

shame we couldn't get the club president interviewed and promote Newtowns case to a greater extent instead of our raffle ticket seller, but as is always said "any publicity is better than none"

it may be time the club invest in someone that could organise/liaise with the media to keep the Newtown flag flying?

I don't think The Footy Show is that great but amazingly, I channel surfed at the right time. Tommy Raudonikis was on. He and Matthew Johns spoke about the movie and there was a "street talk" segment after the screening of the movie last Sunday.

More publicity for the movie than for the club (contrast with SMH article today) but still any publicity is good publicity.

Do Newtown get anything other than " Publicity " out of this movie using their Jerseys, etc etc. ?? I mean they wouldnt get any percentage's for example of the movie profits would they ?? Did the producers approach the club prior to making this movie, it would be assumed that they would have, so some discussion in relation to this would have assumably taken place ??

not a cent documented from the clothing/merchandise last year!!!

all the hoopla around the trademark, why is the clothing company selling/producing merchandise without the trade mark???? poor business if you ask me

as for newtown getting anything other than publicity out of the movie, ask one of the 3 ring circus directors,

perhaps the board through Bumper O'Dwyer wording a piece for Barry Vinning to put his name to will answer your question on the club web site.

getting the name out there is the least of Newtown's problems, it is the fact that so many poor business decisions are made and no-one is ever held accountable for them.

getting the name out there will not generate an income if the club fails, as it is presently doing to action such publicity, the club fails time and time again to contact media outlets with updated information regarding Newtown football club.
