Another spectacularly boring contribution from you

I do think you're a little bit harsh on WW sometimes, but it is really hard to understand the motivation of someone who seemingly has signed up to an NRL forum in order to post about how everyone in the NRL must be right all the time because they're in the NRL. It's a philosophy that does tend to inhibit useful critique.

Unless the bloke is a professional chef he can't have ever had a bad meal in a restaurant.

The NRL is a product to be consumed. Heavy consumers of any product can evaluate the standard and provide critique.

yeah it’s frustratingly inane and self-defeating argumentation. Like, if you have to play NRL to have an opinion on a forum, your opinion that, say, Ford is good is equally invalid.

Says a Forum Moderator who would never ever play in the NRL lol
Keep typing away and stick to the subject you raised. Perhaps your the fraud.
You judging a player in the elite RL competition is laughable.

Slater was an excellent player, but I'm calling fraud on the claim that he revolutionised the fullback position. Billy wasn't even the best ball-playing fullback of his era - Hayne, Stewart, Hunt, Bowen, Boyd etc. all had a better grasp of it and were more likely to hit their winger than the bloke in row three.

Another good player, but who was the dingbat who came up with King Gutho?
fair enough but overall Slater is still better than all those.

He played out of his skin in every tonga test, too bad it never translated into clubland

Lolly was overweight imo. He reminded me of Shuster.
Shed a few pounds, add a yard of pace and you have the makings of a marquee ⅝.

I’ve heard a lot about Slater being the first ball playing fullback…did everyone conveniently forget the first half of Lockyer’s career?

When the chooks put 70 on us in late 2022, about 5 tries were forwards brushing through him like he’s nothing. When I think about games that killed a player’s career that comes to mind. He would need to spend an offseason focusing on defence to become a forward. If he stays with us he won’t have an option imo as Luai and Galvin would both be ahead of him for the 6 and Bula has already seen Laurie out of the club for the 1.

Doueihi 100% belongs in this thread. Has a good running game, ok passing game which we rarely see as hes the biggest hog there is. Probably the worst defender for his size Ive ever seen. That Roosters game was next level, I would have been checking his bank account it was that bad. The guy would get murdered playing in the pack. After 3 ACLs hes going to be a shit Jack Bird, and considering how bad Bird is I shudder to think what Doueihi will produce.

I actually played 11 games for North Sydney in 1992
That's pretty cool to know and I am not being sarcastic here. It makes things a bit more clearer when things start to unfold. Respect to you for that achievement.
@Bazal played in the NRL so his opinion must be accepted as authoritative
I did want to know what makes Ford not have it? We all can have opinions but I like to know how people arrive to their opinions. When I see people summarizzing a players career in a single word or sentence. It's only fair to ask how they came to that opinion. I know you at least answered that Meth with his errors. I like to know what the other former NRL guy arrived at this opinion on Ford.
