I heard reports the crowd was around 8 thousand and very passionate.

A great day for rugby league in France and for UTC's Rugby Super League campaign.

Thanks for the fantastic pictures Puig Aubert!

I love it when the teams walk onto the field side by side like this. It adds to the build up. They do it in the Challenge Cup and Grand Final in the UK and they used to do it in test matches. I noticed they did it for the Anzac Day clash between the Roosters and the Dragons this year also.

Just watched the French cup final repeat.

More stimulating than France v Aussie, which didn't impress at all (half-hearted affair at best).

Limoux led early in the second half but then got ripped to shreds. UTC were the better team, Limoux had some great stand out performers, especially their two props, Ferriol and a new guy to me, Pau - very scary dude. Waigafa was also good.

Limoux went for a drop goal on their first set, and then took the lead on 16 mins - another drop goal, this time successful.

It was then 10-1, then 10-7, then another drop goal for 10-8 at the break. Then 12-10 Limoux, then a bit of a collapse.

Chris Anderson would have had another heart attack, both sides played diametrically opposite a flat attack, with two passes from the ruck putting the second receivers 20 metres behind the advantage line, but as the defences weren't too aggressive they often made yards.

Good individual tackling on display, wth some big hits in the middle, but defensive lines were slow paced in general.

Steve Hall is still crap.
