If Frizell wants our - and I don't blame him if he does - we should go for Fifita using De Belin and Frizell salary cap.
I know we are desperate but if we bring that grub here I won’t follow us. He is a total grub and a moron. We need smart players to overcome the coach.

How did we get into maybe bring a French player. Did Millward fly over there of maybe his recruitment policy is to look at Utube
We should follow what Canberra have done and bring over some SL players

Yeah, Nah. We sort of tried that once. We got Tyrone McCarthy, Mose Masoe, Darren Nicholls and Mike Cooper. Out of that lot Cooper was the only decent first grader for us.

We have had much better success at sending players back to Super League.

Darren Nicholls..I thought we took him from Penrith reggies...he might of had a stint in SL some years ago but hardly call him a SL player
Mike Cooper...I saw him play 1 or 2 good games in the RED V that stood out.
He was overhyped or over rated by the Dragons media and staff about the impact he would have here as we needed damaging props and he was neither. I will say he played with effort...but
The current crop of SL players in the NRL ATM have got it..except for injury prone Ryan Hall

all we need is a new coach, we already have the cattle
a new coach will identify what needs to be done in picking the team , give them a good go there and stick by them
I think theres a good chance well tank in 2020 and hell be punted, so theres a positive, hes tanked the last year so nothing will change until round 6 or 7, hold tight, at least he has an ultimatum lets pray for failure so a new coach can come and foist retain the good players with itchy feet ( all due to the loser of a non coach! ) turn the kids into champions. Sailor, Luch, Ford , Lawrie, Kerr, Lomax , Ramsey, Saab, Pearson even!, all have IT X factor, a new coach will chop off all the dead wood and turn it all around for us pretty fast this IDIOT Mcregor is so woeful its not the team just S grade 'coaching'

If we get one decent signing along with managing the kids properly and some decent coaching we wont be that far from rising again, and the second wave of kids is damn positive also, Sullivan, the Feagues or however you say it, but theres some damn skill coming along nicely, just punt the non coach and well have a team we can watch PLAY football again at the very least! , I miss just having a team that can play personally...and watching the 2 PRELIMS this weekend was just a damn pleasure for a true league fan just to watch not 1 but 2 normal NRL standard holy hang superb truly great and flowing games with tactics, skill, well coached, positive the difference to just see a decent NRL team in action was SHOCKING to me...as a one eyed Dragons fan the literal only teams games ive seen all year were only our Dragons games! so refreshing to even see!! and a SHAME of our rabble to let him have another rubbish attempt! It was like watching league played in another parralel league universe even were not even in the same league!! and its all about the coaching...it was a shock in itself after SO long only seeing our dour dull idiot pissant coached amateur oversafe stop start idiot ugly ultra negative dribble all year longI dont know how ANYONE can even think Mary should have remained to start next season hopefully theyll pull him with the long cane offstage like a dumb frog before then...

Playing career[edit]
Early years[edit]
From 2008 to 2009, Nicholls played for the Wests Tigers' NYC team,[2] before graduating to their New South Wales Cup team, Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Tigers in 2010.[3] He then spent two years playing in France.[4] In 2012, he moved down to Canberra to play for the Mount Pritchard Mounties.[5]

In 2013, he moved back to Sydney and played for the North Sydney Bears, captaining the side.[6][7] At the end of the season, he was named captain and five-eighth of the 2013 New South Wales Cup Team of the Year.[7] In 2014, he joined the Wyong Roos.[8] In May 2014, he joined the Brisbane Broncos mid-season on a contract until the end of 2015, playing with their Queensland Cup feeder side, Norths Devils.[7]

In April 2015, he joined the South Sydney Rabbitohs full-time squad mid-season on a contract until the end of 2016, meaning he would again play for North Sydney, the Rabbitohs' New South Wales Cup feeder side.[9] However, his stint at South Sydney was short lived as he rejoined the Broncos ahead of their 2016 pre-season.[10] He played for their other Queensland Cup feeder side, Redcliffe Dolphins throughout the year, earning selection in the Queensland Residents team and finishing the season as the competition's leading point-scorer.[11]

In October 2016, he signed a 1-year contract with the Penrith Panthers starting in 2017.[11] He captained the Panthers' Intrust Super Premiership NSW side to an NRL State Championship victory over the Papua New Guinea Hunters, after a player of the match performance in the ISP NSW grand final the week prior.[12][4] In November 2017, he signed a 2-year contract with the St. George Illawarra Dragons starting in 2018.[12]

2018[edit]
In round 17 of the 2018 NRL season, Nicholls made his NRL debut for the Dragons at the age of 29. He became the oldest player to ever debut in the modern NRL era, playing at halfback against the Melbourne Storm in place of Ben Hunt who was called up to the Queensland State of Origin team.[4][13]

Amazing how we saw the untapped potential of this marquis player when others including an overseas team failed to recognise it.
No doubt Maranta will blossom just like Nicholls under our nurturing coaching system.
Also great that we punt the one's with no likelihood of success Bird, Garrick and most likely Dufty, Host, Timms and maybe Lomax.

Hmmmm
Bird wanted a guarantee half position...and no one should bow to that and probably still has demands but a good player
I did not care for Garrick but must admit in a good coached side he has done well but not convinced of him to be a success yet...but sure we could of least given him a go
I have said enough about Dufty's potential V coaching. It just has not matched and i would rather Dufty
Timms?......interesting not so sure he will make it as a 1st grader but ditto re Garrick...give him go
Host...not up to it IMO
Lomax going nowhere and is trying to get a deal done for 2021 +....at the Dragons...but sure money talks

He's just signed a huge deal though.
I know no one is coming here. We are better off targeting Canberra's juniors that cant get a run due to all the poms. I live in Canberra so i would know anyone from here would love to live in the Gong next to the beach. We all go down the coast a few times a year and its like going to Hawaii for us.

You still have doubts about Garrick??
Timms??
Dufty got many more chances than the other 2 only to come up short several times.
No one is disputing the slashing tries he scored which we all praised and enjoyed watching but playing FB for St. George means much more than what ends up on the highlights reel.
Given the current crop of wingers that we keep wringing the changes with, why wasn't Garrick given a fair go?
Is he worse than what we have now?
We went shopping outside of our available talent pool and have paid dearly for it.
Timm could have made a massive difference to our fortunes this year but didn't even get a sniff.
Even Lomax and Host were constantly dicked around to the point where they became disillusioned.
Garrick under a quality mentor became an excellent first grader and shows signs of further improvement.
The point being if you don't induct these young guys into FG you will never know if they will handle the step up in grade.

The roosters again showed last night you must have height on the wings. We don’t , either get some new taller wingers or be assigned to the bottom sides.
