Agreed but it's important to ensure the financial viability of the existing clubs. I reckon they'll at least have the Bears back in 2013 but other places will have to wait.

Can't knock Gallop for that interview... although some people will find a way :lol:.

He's just telling it like it is, whether we like the realities or not. Good to see him drawing a line on what players can expect to earn in the game, hope the message sinks in for the greedy.

Good to see Central Coast getting a positive mention, I'd expect announcements in 2012 about some expansion alongside the TV deal.

Thing is its easy for him to sit there and say " not now, our existing clubs need bailing out" but when and what are you going to do now to make sure it is a success in the future? A strategy, a plan, frick anything that would suggest they have a clue about where, when and how would be nice!

Since the NRL was formed in 1998 there has not been a plan for the game. I wonder if all the Gallop fans could name a plan for the game under his tenure. I can't.
