Langer, Toovey, Haddock, Morris, Guider, Campbell, McGrady...they alll play/ed above their weight in the game of league (origin or not).
Langer in 1987 was mistaken for the ball boy...thats how small he was. Toovey in 1988 playing for manly vs the poms at brookvale oval, he was a choir boy.
Who cares if Hodgson is a fence post!

Like it or not Mini has the award has been the best player in all forms of the game and is only getting better. I too think the Dally M awards are a joke accross the Board not just one or too awards. They are not picked on form most awards are a popularity contest.

Someone else in another thread said that Morley may be a chance to win. How can this be when he couldn't even get nominated for prop of the year in the NLR dally M awards.

Pal, take a look at the first post in the topic. I don't care that minichello won it. Good for him. Insecure little prat that he is, Melon had a dig at Tigers fans and Hodgson.

BTW, I remember Parra v Knights semi at Parra corca 2000 -Schifcofske carries Robbie O to the sideline like he's a case of VB!

Point is that Clinton and Robbie O both with about the same. Tallis is about 100 KG heavier than Hodgeson, so the tackle, while spectacular, was not really special. Especially since Tallis had spent all game bashing him. sadly, Tallis could never pick on anyone his own size - he never went near Hindmarsh.

Anyway, back to the topic. Mini - congratulations. Hodgeson was better in the NRL, no question. It's typical that only Charlie and Kiwi can't see that. Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, the pair of 'em!

I wasnt comparing him to you dickhead....I was writing from his (Hodgso) perspective, from his point of view...if you had a grasp of the english language youd comprehend that.

Yes all those mentioned are small as well.....no fullbacks there eh?

Melon takes a dig at anyone who will bite!!!!!

But every few days there is a new thread how hard done by Hodgo is and how he is better at this and his stats say that and blah blah blah

It goes on and on - read this thread !!!!!!

Well done Mini - You are the best player on form in the world!!!!!!!!

The thread was started by an Easts Fans, so i'm not sure why Tigers fans are copping the blame for comparing the two.

Any right minded Tigers fans would agree that Minichello is a fantastic player, who deserves to be the Australian fullback based on great club and rep form over a period of time. Similarly any right minded Easts fan would not say crap such as Hodgson is not fit to lace Minichello's boots and would recognise that Hodgson over the last 2 seasons in the NRL has been equally as good as Minichello week in week out.

Being the Australian fullback, Minichello is the number 1 fullback in the game. However with Hodgo's ability to pass the ball (ie set up tries as a second halfback), as well as his short kicking game and excellent goalkicking i think he ceetainly deserves to be mentioned alongside Minichello. Hodgson had 34 Line breaks this season as well as 10 try assists.
